What I would like to know is why we always get caught and have to outrun the cops. Are we really that bad? I feel like I'm doing all the work here.

Its all good, i'll just lead a bunch of police and helicopters to the hideout, but they wont enter, they'll just give up and drive off :D

morale of the story: if there is a giant black truck with what look like handrails on the sides of it on the freeway being chased by cops, DO NOT PULL UP NEXT TO IT!!!!!!
