Interesting and cute. But it needs goals. Avoiding falling icicles isn't really something to keep you going very long. Maybe give a description of what your school project was for?

Adding more variety to the falling ice (other shapes, sizes), more character movements (eyes blinking, etc), and adding some form of texture to the score bar would increase the appeal of the game.
