" function updateScore(points) { score += points; root.scoreText.text = score; }" should go in the ship class, but not in the onLoad or onEnterFrame functions, just outside of them, and "root.ship.updateScore(50);" should go anywhere you want 50 points to be added to the score.

Who said anything about the badge, the challenges were made by the maker and are part of the game therefore should be taken into consideration when rating.
5 star to me is a perfect fun game, the challenges were not fun and had it not had a badge i wouldn’t have completed them because it wasn’t fun.
