▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I’ve been gaming since I was about 5 years old. I think the first game I ever played was Final Fantasy for the NES. My dad was always playing it, so that’s how I got started on it. My favorite genre also happens to be RPGs. I’m not sure if FF influenced this or not, but I ended up enjoying them the most out of any genre. I play everything though.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I first started online gaming with a game called, Worms Armageddon. It’s one of my favorite multiplayer games ever and I played it for years. After I got bored of that, I moved onto a game called, Graal. It’s like The Legend of Zelda, but online. Played that for years till I got bored of it. Met a lot of people on there and played various MMOs and other things until finally moving onto Kongregate. Been here since 2008.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I’m a modest, easygoing type of person. I consider myself “casually hardcore” when it comes to games. For Kongregate, I define that as, I try to get all the badges here, but I usually only try a few times for games I dislike. If there is a game that is a combination of very difficult and very boring (Tarnation for example), I don’t really mind just skipping the badge(s). I just can’t force myself to play some games I dislike for a badge. Opposite of that though, If I do enjoy the game, I will play it till I get the badge. Zunderfury for example, took over a week of me trying to get the impossible badge for it. I enjoyed it though, so I didn’t mind.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
I used to have some badge statistics on my profile of how I was doing with my badge hunting progress. Think the best I ever got it down to was 3 or 4 missing badges out of everything. It was a nice way to show my progress and have some personal motivation for myself to try and get them all. I ended up deleting it after a while though. The main reason was, a hacking program became really popular on Kongregate. Lots of people started having all the badges all of a sudden and I would say 95% of them did it using that. This made me feel like my badge progress thing on my profile was pointless, so I deleted it.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
This is also the reason I quit participating in Kongregate tournaments. They were a lot of fun when they first started out and there was rarely anyone called out for hacking. Then it just steadily progressed from there and I ended up not participating in them anymore, because they weren’t enjoyable for me. My favorite one that I did participate in though, was The Gauntlet. It had the best scoring/ranking system out of the tournaments and even split everyone into groups. That was a lot of fun and I would at least consider joining one if they had something similar to The Gauntlet.

Outside of gaming, I do a few other things. I watch Anime. My favorite TV shows are 24 and House. I also enjoy playing most sports, with basketball being my favorite to play and watch. I also like reading a lot, with the Harry Potter series being my favorite books. This kind of relates to gaming, but I play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) a lot. It’s a great way to exercise and it’s really fun.

Some notable dates for me:
7-29-08 I reached the top 25 All-time leaderboard (I was only level 42!)
9-23-09 I reached the max level on Kongregate (65)

Worms Armageddon Won lots of leagues and ended up going 50 wins and 0 losses for one of the seasons.
Graal
Was voted the best player on the server a few times and set the most event wins in a month record. It was around 420 wins.
