How can I get more of the music from Refraction? I am specifically talking about the part where there is a voice that sings “AAAAAAA”.

Refraction: 1. The stats seem to be sent to Kong before the number of Cards is updated. Might have been Kong was slow, but
Hard Badge appeared immediately after I replayed the first level. 2. If a level is started from the Trophy Room, don’t start the next level after completion. Takes 3 clicks to return to the Trophy Room. Just stay on the Tro…

Does this game not save my progress? It stinks that I can’t come back to it later and continue from where I left off.

it saves progress to the flash cache. it’s really not saving for you? it’s blank every time you come back?

Trying to play your game and finish it, but your last level is very different from what others have experienced and I cannot find a way to beat it. Tried to use a walkthrough but all those are different versions, if you could find out what is going on I appreciate it.

Yeah, the game crashed for my friend at 3-6 and he didn’t see any coins at all.

I had a similar issue eytanz had. All the coin positions are gone, but they disappeared only after I had beaten the game.

I can’t see any of the coins – yesterday I saw the coin slots but now they’re gone. Any idea what’s happening?

Is it possible to laser all the coins and complete every puzzle at the same time?

For some reason, once I reached level 2-3 or 4 (can’t quite remember) the game crashed, along with any other flash programs I had open at the time. There seemed to be no reason for this. Also, it did not appear to save my game, which was a bit of a bummer. But other than that, it was a good game :D

And it happened again D: This time, partway through 3-1. Trying to drag a divider, the same thing happened. The whole window froze, and about 10sec later, the browser came up with a window saying ‘Fla…

I totally loved this game and am still replaying it because it’s still challenging. I think the trophies really add a lot to the game – though it would be better if you can see the trophy challenge for the level you are playing without having to go out of the level. I really like the music, too.

Thanks for the suggestion about making the challenge visible from within the level. We are working on this. Thanks for playing!

Currently the game forces uses to use what they have, and mostly there is
only 1 pattern to win the game which you have laid out.

A game that empowers the player to use the tools any combination is much more fun to play and win the game. It allows player to be creative in creating their solution.

From there, you can create medals (gold/silver/bronze), gold for using the least amount of reflectors/dividers.
while bronze is the opposite of gold.

And from there, you can modify the game condition, win the game by only using these 3 types of tools for gold.

Then the game can be further upgraded to have multiplier instead of division. x2 (1×2 = 2) , x3 (2×3=6) instead of 1/6.

I really like the idea of adding medals for using fewer pieces, and adding multiple solutions.

Yes I think the basic idea can work for other math topics as well.

Also this project is just starting and…

Also, when a player begins a new game, don’t force user to have only 1 world to visit, give access to all the worlds for player to visit.

Currently the cards gain from each successful mission does not much but for decoration.

It would be good if they could help out in the game.

Another idea would be the animal lion allows you to redirect laser diag…

Hi, i just finished your game and it’s awesome! I hope you’ll do a sequel sooner or later!
I just want to leave some “complains” about the game…
- A “reset button” would be nice.
- The expanders need a little difference between them.
- The Trophy Room disappears too fast! Can you keep it until we can get the infos we need for obtaining the cards?…

It would be very nice if you could add something to the extras-section of Refraction where you can use the cards you earn during the game. Was a little disappointed when I completely finished the game and there was no reward in the extras-section… :D But nevertheless, this is a very good game. It´s not surprising that you won a price with it.

Awesome game; amazing concept – feel that you could teach kids fractions with this… one thing puzzled me more than anything else… why award prized for using lots of pieces? Surely it is better to have pieces left over (but still get all coins and win)?

avatar for GameScience
GameScience Sep 18, 2010 6:21pm

Thanks! Yeah we realize that the “use lots of pieces” is stupid =). It actually doesn’t even work, we discovered – you can just place pieces randomly on the grid and it counts them as “used”. Whoops. …

Great game. You may want to fix up one element—-one can still earn cards by placing the left-over pieces anywhere on the map (no interaction with the laser required). Other than that, great job.
