About me

I'm half-Russian, half-English, half-Jewish and half-insane. When I'm not trying to take over the world using ancient magics, orbital laser satellites and the minions of He Who Must Not Be Named (not that one, the other one), I spend my time watching anime for inspiration, practising martial arts for the inevitable final showdown, and building complex spiritual and metaphysical frameworks to interpret daily life (because every villain needs a hobby). I am also quite fond of cats.

As with many such games, fast mana regen is the key to victory. Except...it boosts each time you upgrade your mana pool in-battle. If you buy higher starting mana, the cost to do this rises proportionally, thereby slowing your overall mana regen with every upgrade. This makes it actually a disadvantage to upgrade starting mana.

For some reason, sanity gain from discarding resolves *after* madness effects, so if you go insane before your turn starts, you don't have a chance to recover before, say, losing your Elder and Arcane from Schizophrenia. I suggest having sanity gain happen when you discard the card, so that you're sane again before the turn ends. Otherwise, you have the paradox of something only taking effect after one's turn is over.

Restarting the latter levels, especially the last, doesn't help at all, since one's powerups appear to have to start charging from scratch. You will die before the first one finishes.
