May. 02, 2008Ian, in response to your comment on Fancy Patns Adventure: world 2, I had the same problem when trying to get the snail shell to stay put, and I'm glad to tell you that I have previously worked out the solution and will be happy to inform you. OK, so normally, when you hit the shell, it goes flying pretty far, which isn't so bad if it wasn't already airborn. You can hit it one or two more times until it goes flying either into the wall, or it lands on the floor. So, what I found was a very good and somewhat easy way to get the 20hit combo is to hit it off the ground, and when you run to hit it, do a backflip, by running foward and jumping backwards. The backflip will keep the shell from flying all over the place and will keep it almost perfectly aligned with your head, so just hit it repeatedly from then on, being careful as to not hit it at such an angle as to where it flies away, and you should do fine. Wether it worked or didn't work, let me know by leaving me a shout. I'd love to hear from you. And I did say this is an easier way, but not ridiculously easy, so it may take you a few tries to get used to it and execute it well. :]

Alright, forgot about quick formatting here, dashes are out. Reformatted: Idea: 5/5 : Very original, yet still classic. Graphics: 4/5 : Sleek but easy to understand. Music: 2/5 : Would be a 1 if the tracks weren’t so great. The abrupt cuts in and out between tracks is terrible though, and for such a slow game it’s VERY noticeable. Execution: 2/5 : PAINFULLY slow game. To up the speed but keep the same difficulty, make the controls more responsive in scale with the speed increase. Overall? 2/5. Needs a LOT of gameplay polishing to stand amongst the breakout games.
