subswallow's profileAbout meI am I. I’m a poet, a dreamer, and lover, rather than a fighter. Although, I do live for confrontation some days and I am very passionate about what I believe in and will willingly fight for any cause I can get behind. I live for my ideals, my beliefs, my justice. I live kind of an odd lifestyle, but I’m happy with it. I don’t particularly care if you don’t. I love my husband-to-be more than life itself and firmly believe that marriage has absolutely nothing to do with “happily ever after”. It’s hard work, all day, every day. Nothing ever works out the way it should and miscommunication happens more often than not. However, it’s worth it. He’s worth it. I wear his collar around my neck and his ring around my finger, day in and day out. I’m very opinionated, and I love a good debate. Throw the Bible at me and my mouth will automatically turn into a paper shredder, primed and ready. I have nothing against Christians, I share many of their values, but that does not mean you can use the Bible for any kind of justification when you talking to anyone or about anything outside of your religion. Its only place as a reference tool is in theological discussions. Speaking of theology, I have a cafeteria religion. My beliefs best fit under the umbrella of paganism, but only barely. I’m not a Wiccan, I don’t believe the Goddess and consort have blessed us with any kind of power, nor do they have any kind of power to grant our prayers and wishes. I’m not a pagan, either. I don’t believe in any higher power. I believe in the power of human will and the strength and beauty of Nature. You might call me druidic, but I simply don’t have the knowledge – yet. Someday I hope to study under someone who can better teach me how to attune with the nature, power and beauty that surrounds us. The best term for me might be a Bohemian. Not because I come from Bohemia, but because American Heritage Dictionary sums me up best: bo·he·mi·an (b,,-h,,’m,,-ən) n. A person with artistic or literary interests who disregards conventional standards of behavior. In other words, I am ME!
