Hey guys, your probably wondering why my name is tiec. its not just the word tie in front of c. my name means “get”. to tell you the truth, it was a random name and found out it meant get on google translate lol. This picture icon represents my favorite book, Wolves of the Beyond Lone Wolf by Kathryn Lasky. It all started out when the main character’s mother, Morag had to give birth to her wolf pups. She somehow sensed that one of your pups wouldn’t be like the others so she tryed to escape from the Obea, Shiaban. Shiaban wasn’t like other Obeas, she knew that something was going on with Morag mainly because she traveled far away from the pack and tryed to hide her scent. Morag had three pups. two like there father and one with silver fur. She noticed that one of his paw had a splayed mark on it , but she knew it wasn’t a deformity. She knew her pup wasn’t a malcadh (a wolf term that means cursed). Since Morag was a mother of a malcadh she was forced to leave the clan and was split along from her mate as they had a contaminated bloodline and had to find new packs. She was also forced to watch her baby pup with the splayed paw be taken away to die by the Obea because if she violated wolf law, she to would die with her pups. The pup with the splayed paw was abandoned at a river left to die. If he ever managed to survive, he would be considered a gnaw wolf and wold be the lowest ranking member of the clan. He then was soon raised by a bear named Thunder Heart who he came to love and appreciate as if she was his own mother. She called him Faolan. Fao means “water” and “wolf” ( i think) and loan meant “gift” because she believes Faolan came from the water as a gift to her to raise him as her own. later on in the story, Thunder Heart is forced to hibernate during the winter. she worries about Faolan so she goes out looking for him not knowing she sent him out to hunt. It is dangerous for a bear to be out in the winter and Thunder Heart finds her self in trouble. Scavengers come to pick at Thunder Hearts body but a wolf knows that the bear cared for her wolf because of her scent. Now she protects Thunder Heart from anyone who approaches. Faolan is now in search for Thunder Heart as he travels in his journey. He finds a cave and sees a spiral on a wall that’s on his paw. he wonders into the cave hearing voices yet no one is near. he soon finds out that the splayed paw means that hes superior, greater than any wolf pack or clan. Now Faolan finds out what he was destined to be.
