Took me until 9 minutes in to realize that you could level up the skills. I thought it was a stats bar to let you know what you're at. Derp!

I think adding staff busy % on the stats page would be helpful in determining if I need more engineers/maids. I never know if my engineers are busy until a month later after everyone complains my bowling alley sucks.
