This game is the very definition of freemium. Lets you play a bunch at early stages, gives you just a few minutes a day in late game. From a business perspective this is genius. From a player perspective, this is just playing evil.

I actually wanted to buy dragon souls and help the developer, but the in-game for those things is really really low.

graphics, gameplay, grinding balance: 5/5; script: 4/5; voice overs: 3/5; It would have been funnier with dibrish or no voice at all. The actors don't talk like they are responding one another, and that's due the way this was recored (individual contracts, no interaction, "read the lines this way"). The end result makes the conversation sound a little off.

The problem isn't that the game is easy, but rather that the game doesn't challenge you enough for a high score. It would make more sense if the 3 star score had some speed run element involved.

So I paid 50k to the arena guy, but I didn't know I had to have an extra 5k. When I finished farming it, he was gone. Will he ever come back?

The game was getting fun, until the familiar feeling of getting frustrated by the AI kicks in. I can barely have any strategies with item build and levels when everything (including healing) is random target. FYI, I read your idea on adding this as a grinding option, but I really think healing the characters with the lowest life points should be there by default.

Yeah, there will definitely be AI upgrades, but you're right, some basic stuff should work from the beginning. Although the way it is now isn't random (they scan the raider list top to bottom and pick the first one with below max hp), it isn't functional. But I think there is a middle ground: In the next patch, I will patch priests to heal the target with the lowest HP percentage by default, but there are probably even more effective ways for the healer to decide what to heal, which I could put in via AI upgrades. By the way, just some unlockable AI upgrades that are on our to-do list: Priests targeting AOE heals such that they result in the maximum amount of healing done possible, raiders retargeting to new enemy when someone spawns close by, raiders trying to move out of AOE damage areas (like the stuff the lava boss spawns), tanks specifically taunting away enemies when they are starting to attack damage dealers and healers, etc. (there are a lot more).

I liked how the devs replaced some of the grinding with a more focus "best run" (limited upgrades and a single car per level), but part of the fun of these games was the non-linear upgrade progress. I guess we can't have both :(

The rules to get 3 stars are so.... random. Forcing people to watch the walkthrough to get them kinda takes the fun away.

Guys you want a good TD game, buy a full one from Ironhide on the app store. Freemium + TD are specifically designed to make you feel frustrated after a couple of hours.
The very first thing that is presented to me is a way to buy. I'm not even sure what they are selling, but the buy button is the first thing I saw. Point is, these freemium games are not even being discrete anymore.
