i kinda stopped caring about halfway through... the concept is excellent, but for a game like this, you need something to keep the player wanting more, especially with this many levels. I do like the idea of the tree progressing as the player plays through the game, but it could have been executed better, the tree looks like a pulsating tumor at times. The graphics and sounds are a little bit much sometimes, you could take a lot from some of the more minimalistic games on here, especially considering the fact that the game is so well polished that it actually slows down the game. I don't agree with those who say you need a speed up button, or a hot key for going to the next level. I think the pace of the game is relaxing, and it comes out to a very zen sort of feeling. 4/5
I wish you could pause the verification at certain points, it would help out troubleshooting and diagnostics tremendously. It's hard to figure out what isn't working right when you can't test it.
The ending was quite unexpected. When I read down here in the comments that this game had an unexpected ending, I figured it would probably turn out that the enemies were actually friendly humans, and that the computer was turning us rogue on the humans. The real ending was more satisfying and less cliche :)
I'm adding a "game" part of it, the current problem I'm having is registering when the mouse is in contact with one of the balls. Anyone have any ideas?
You know a game is good when it can just make you feel.... emotions that you haven't felt in a while. This game really pulled it off. Thank you. All of you.
Thanks for all the support people! I'll definitely look into colors and stuff... I wanted to add music but I got really stuck on the mute button. I'll definitely be making changes in the near future, hopefully I can establish this as a legitimate chat game with a regular community. I'll be adding a feature to choose how many balls are on the screen. I'll probably go up to 5. Again, thanks!
:/ I find that the shruiken ninjas are the most annoying, considering you have to tap up a million times only to get knocked out again by another shruiken
