How can you lose health just by walking...? That logic somewhat confuses me. If you made the tile have a monster or something for the character to fight (thus making him lose life) to fight off, it may make sense. Especially since the symbols you've used on the tiles shows a 'sword' icon, meaning that he lost health from a battle.
Wow, all the pieces fit on perfectly together now. Great game, great story this is the kind of game that doesn't need a sequel because of it's satisfying ending.
