If you want an idle game you'll still be playing in a year= this probably isn't the game for you? I think the progression is fast enough that you can 100% it in units of months.
Which doesn't make it a bad game. It's fun, and it's silly.
really? are some appendages useless, or just not worth getting? sorry- not new, but never played as more than a casual- when i last left, my greatest achievement was possesion of a mammoth with 1 apendage.
you want your creatures to have at least 6 unusual features relative to the base template for optimal effect, i believe. also, skills matter, and a few of them may be pumped up on splicers- not most, since splicers are either really expensive or really time consuming to obtain (level cap a critter for 1. equivalent to 1 skill.)
sometimes, definitely. I don't watch my wolves (they're disposable, so speed in use > speed in raising) but my others i watch sometimes- when i'm not in a rush. frequently, though, the only thing i learn is other people's critters are stronger than mine, with no idea as to why.
@dr34m, shift doesn't slow time- it slows down your movements, so you can actually dodge when you need ridiculous precision. early game it's not incredibly useful, but late-game? well, i've held it down straight through a level (also, nolegs shoots a more focused blast with his secondary weapon when you've got shift pressed/held down)
@awesome- seems pretty hard to me, unless you've set it too low or aren't doing the bonus levels (the rest of the game has an almost even difficulty curve, but the bonus levels are quite difficult)
the game is awesome, but pets seem a little OP- mine can hold off a titled enemy with CP 1800-2000 for at least as long as it takes me to steal half the foe's health. i'm CP 700ish
this games great, problem is it has NO learning curve, at least for me... i'm not complaining at the first half, but the first half felt like a puzzle based RPG, and the second felt like a normal RPG, except for the occasional boss... on the other hand, i'm afraid to turn insane mode on, so maybe i just used the guide too much
