The balance of this new version is a big piece of joke. For the record, the final app, Matrix, requires 320GHz/800GB/200PB and only gives 1T money (for the record, getting to even 100GHz/100GB requires at least 1Q); meanwhile the investor bonus is still laughable after the supposedly "buff". Sorry, author, but you really don't understand how to do game balancing. The game becomes impossible to progress very quickly, and it's impossible to reach anything late-game at all. The arbitrariness of mid-game/late-game balance all seems to suggest that you're tweaking them based on whim and guesses, not actual analysis nor playtesting.
I don't really understand the purpose of Safety Rating - if one is using an autoclicker to mine, he doesn't need miners at all anyway. Why bother debuffing the miners?
What is "it" that we have to click? What is that steam dev console command? What is the dev's first comment? What's saving my life someday? What's the badgers? And- how to get that Jimmy Junior secret medal?
Oh god, not thegame8 again... Bad programming, subpar art, reuse assets for all their games, rerelease game as sequels without much change at all (and it's not even a player pack, so it's not unjustifible), and MOST IMPORTANTLY, had a record of spamming game ratings for frontpage for every game they release, which is how they got their newgrounds release account banned. I'm still not sure why they simply haven't been banned already.
Let's see what's good: The regular salary raise to encourage working, and to prevent one auto-click for hours. And what's bad: The regular "always better than you" fake friend that create false sense of competition, maximum click frequency being set too low (6 per second, I think), energy bar, pay-to-play, as well as the developer intentionally escaping from the criticisms of the bad things and only responds to whatever is relevant to him. Seriously, if you just want to grab money, give a donate button and people are happy to give money. You may earn much money this way (Since there ARE people who pays A LOT, and just a handful of them is enough), but nobody will like you, and you'll get a rating too bad to front-page very soon for a game that's isn't multiplayer. And guess which part of this comment the developer will comment on, if he's even doing that at all?
I don't think for(var i:uint=0;i=7;i++){ would ever work at all. That i=7 should be i<=7, I think? (Loop Lavaland Rite of Passage, 3/16) There are several instances of the identical mistake too, according to my memory.
I hate to admit it, but I think you might be right and I might be wrong. I will review these lessons tomorrow and correct them as necessary. As you guessed, I was trying to show how NOT to do it, and I might have made some mistakes. Thank you so much for all of your feedback.
I'll look into it, thanks :)
