Also does hitting with the butt of my rifle do the same damage as the sword? If not I'd really like to be able to switch to my pistol even if it's out of ammo to avoid accidentally using a bomb when I'm just trying some sword play.
Fantastic graphics for a browser game. Great game play. Love that death isn't too punishing as it really encourages experimentation and exploration. I'd like a setting to not auto switch to the next weapon when the ammo is out or maybe I just bumped the scroll wheel... icon/image next to the number for each weapon ammo would be nice. I haven't got very far yet... I may have more feed back. But so far awesome!
Great concept... the icy controls (poor deceleration and acceleration) make the game feel unpolished since there is nothing that environmentally indicates I have roller blades on my feet or slime covering the map. Otherwise very fun.
Over 5 stars for game concept... but you lost several stars for icy controls, poor hit box detection, and lack of UI and Polish elements.... but in the end you still get 5 stars.
Way cool concept. Needs the entire game to look icy for the controls to make sense. Needs a warning that it's insanely hard even on "normal" mode (At least if you don't realize that there is a 60 FPS "option" that definitely helps [Should be on by default]). Otherwise great game.
Great game. A faster fire rate and movement speed with a smaller character would help a ton with making this more of a truly puzzle game... right now it has a fair amount of movement and timing precision which makes it more stressful and less zen. But it depends on what feel you were going for. Particularly on the memory level a smaller character would help a ton especially since your hit-box isn't actually round... so when you think you have it lined up to not hit any buttons you shouldn't the robot rotates to maintain eye contact with your cursor causing a button to be hit that wouldn't if the hit-box was truly circular.
Hey, appreciate the feedback on the hitbox. It is already a perfect circle for most collisions, but the collisions with the buttons uses a different method that isn't perfectly circular due to how the engine works. That said, I looked at the hitbox and it didn't match properly so I fixed it. Should be much better now! Thanks for playing!
I think cards should shake or something if they have changed since you last used them. And should shake if they changed since you last had them played against you.
Since when did freezing units become limited by the power of the unit.... freezing is now useless.... it was always very hard to strategize with it... but now it truly is useless. I assume that will be balanced back... but as for now Midwinter Chaos costs 5 and only freezes tiny units nothing useful.
I think this could be sped up and turned into a puzzle/strategy game using rates instead of totals. Also multiple sources next to destinations aka queens next to larvae should speed up rates and multiple destinations around one source should slow down each rate.
Great game concept. But it has terrible controls. And the limited time to set up before a limited flow of "sugar" starts to flow in an odd feather like dot format, with huge blurry lines to guide it all. It is a highly frustrating game with weird unpredictable curves and very non-linear puzzle design.
"Little did I know about the consequences" ???? um... I read the gravestones... I knew I was dooming everyone in the village... I just was doing what they wanted me to do.
Using shift or control would make plenty of sense for the dash and would make cheap keyboards much more likely to work on diagonal dashes... which seems to be required for that leap over the lava in puzzle 2.
Great game overall. Love the puzzles and combat mechanics. Unfortunately the two key bind options both punish you if you have a cheaper keyboard. Most basic keyboards only allow two standard key presses at a time as well as any modifier key presses. So to only on my nice keyboard am I able to get any diagonal dash/sprints.
