I really liked this at first. It's got a nice learning curve... each level took a little longer than the last to nail... but then I got to level 20! How frustrating! I've had to crank the difficulty down to Easy and I still can't beat it and I can't see any way of being able to beat it. It's like taking a knife to a gun fight!
This comment will probably spark a whole load of bravado talk from people who claim to have finished the game... good for you if you've got that far - you're clearly a lot better than I am :)
It's pretty good actually... perhaps a little too easy. There should be some kind of incentive though - a timer perhaps? A "who can do it fastest" type leader board maybe?
Great concept and well executed. I get a little bored of the retro-graphics thing - it almost stopped me looking at this game because I assumed it was just another platformer which, frankly, doesn't pump my onions.
Very original - I like the way that, even now I've finished the game, I can't quite figure out what the rules are :) There's a satisfying vagueness about it all. Only criticism iI could make is that the levels don't seem to advance very linearly - IMO there are a handful of levels in the middle that were more of a sticking point than the later levels.
I agree with DeadlyDad - this is an old genre of game, however it is beautifully executed and, in my mind, has 100x more playability than old "snake". The only criticism I would make is it needs more progress... instead of just regenerating the reds you should be able to complete the level. Subsequent levels should have more reds, perhaps faster motion etc. Good work though :)
