Only problem with this game is they should change the "Change Formation" command. They should either make it so you can more easily select the one you want, or they should make it so you can do it during the pause screen.
Amazing game. Kind of like the Fantasy Kommander games in a way where attacking from behind gives advantages ... it would be good if it gave extra damage here also (like Fantasy Commander), but then again, that would make Vadim's ability useless ... good game nonetheless. I like how you can change the terrain by piling corpses and other things. Speaking of which, the whole corpse feature is a nice touch (as others have said--I wish this was implemented in other games like Fantasy Kommander, for example) given most games either appear to have the corpses simply be there for show or just have them vanish. Though I feel as if I would not have had a chance at winning without Mockery ...
That final boss was a joke ... maxed out, (not sure if you even need it) you can defeat it in 1 hit. I mean, seriously? It didn't even look good as it somehow moved behind my ship and part of it was out of sight. This game has a good idea for gameplay but it's flawed ... also, for some reason my ingame name is really messed up ... If they do make a Frontier 2, I hope these things are fixed.
Definitely think passives should be implemented ... I'd like them much, much more than consumables. Stronger bat, ability to go faster in shadows, etc. Maybe you could bribe security guards to not reveal you? You'd lose some of your earned cash but you wouldn't have the alarm go off...
Sigh ... why ... I FINALLY got to the ending and thankfully got my badge, but I had the chat open and I clicked backspace and suddenly I went back to the front page and I completely missed the ending. :l
I agree ... although there are a little less zombies on puzzle mode, they should probably be removed. Either that or you should put them in the easier speed play ones. Given some parts of puzzle mode have me just running around, trying to get the zombies away. Which I do in speed play. I'd suggest making it easier to kill zombies in puzzle mode (worse AI that makes them run into mines that you lure them into), adding enough pickups to deal with every zombie, or removing them altogether. Right now, there doesn't seem to be much of a different between the two modes. If the zombies aren't changed from how they are currently, the modes might as well be merged ...
I agree with DruggieSweater ... I haven't liked these Endless War games since they diverted from 1-3. Endless War 4 had some good additions ... maybe a mix of the single missions from 1-3 and the long missions in Endless War 4 would be good. Anything but these ... I mean, this is an interesting idea, but they diverged from a concept that I liked much better. Having to plan where to go ... who to take out so I had better weapons ... etc.
Doesn't tech break the game? Because with it experienced players have an advantage over new players? New players should always be equal with experienced players ... otherwise, what's the point of trying? If anything, new players should get the perks ... experienced players already have learned a lot from self experience. And now give them stat boosts ... ? Why?
Anyone else realize that you can fire backwards with your archer? Note- Trebuchets have a huge range (they can fire from your castle to the enemy spawning point) and do a lot of damage. Abilities upgrade the more you use them ... the more you use normal attacks and trebuchets, the stronger they will be. Trebuchets can get about 459 dps, so massing them to win is optimal. If you want the damage badge, you'll probably want to go for headshots ...
Lol ... I lost the game after beating a stage. :L My bullets destroyed the boss (though my ship was destroyed) and showed the staged cleared screen, but it changed to show the gameover screen after.
