I have a request for somethin in a future update, and if it is something already in the game, someone please let me know. I would like to see a shortcut/hotkey that allows you to buy more than one of the same upgrade at a time in the Astral World (and the Akashic Record as I would guess it doesn't currently have this either) when possible. For example, it gets a bit annoying to have to click "stat upgrade" so many times when my inspiration has nearly capped out. Would it be possible to implement something like a smaller version (by which I mean making it like, 10 uses at a time instead of max uses) of the shift click feature found in Gluttony/Greed within the above stated areas, if not instant actions in their entirety?
To the creator: I might have found a potential bug. Short version: it doesn't seem like the "Appraise Rare Metal" offline activity works. Long version: one of my quests was to gain scrap metal, and since I currently have a max of 100, I decided to have "Appraise Rare Metal" be my offline activity overnight. I logged in today and have max scrap metal, but my rare metal amount is still where I left it over 12 hours ago, at 10/20.
@maclaren93 I asked on the Steam forums too. Someone there told me that it is a Secondary Equipment, which has a low percent chance of dropping from any monster or chest even if you haven't unlocked the feature yet. Doing a bit of research, it looks like I need to beat the 5th guardian to unlock that feature itself. If this is true, it would explain why it isn't showing up anywhere for me, as I have only beaten the second guardian so far
@maclaren93 I'm not sure. Like I said I was just opening chests (I had over 50 stored up) and the message popped up in the chat bar underneath what I got from a chest (on a separate line, so it doesn't seem like it was from the chest). I would guess it's a key item for later on and I just got the message without the item since I can't find it anywhere
Does anyone know what a "B. Necklace of Paradise" is? I was opening bronze chests and a message appeared saying I got that. It was on a different line than opening a chest though, so it doesn't look like it came from the chest. I can't find it in either my items menu or my equipment menu, so it doesn't look like it's either of those either.
Could someone help me understand something? About a week or 2 ago, I got my first kill on the Mithril Bird rare enemy. Since doing this added it to my beastiary, I noticed that it has "(+x%)" next to the total defeats section (if it matters, x seems to increase in increments of 5 for each defeat I have of it, considering it was at 5% earlier today when I had 1 kill and now at 10% with 2 kills). What is this statistic? Since I have at least one drop of research on every other summonable monster currently in my beastiary and it is the only one with this stat, I'm guessing it is something like an increased appearance or first drop rate?
@rorschach500 After leaving the village, you have to get passed a certain point to unlock the anchovy sandwiche recipe. Without spoiling too much, you have to finish talking with the client that brings you to the Coastal City, and then assist someone in the Spirit Springs area until you get a new food item that is required for the recipe. If memory serves, it should unlock automaticlly once you have all the ingrediants
@Hubcappe Did you do a dark ritual shortly before that started happening? After every dark ritual, you have to beat a dungeon again to be able to gain offline benefits from it. Beating a dungeon will unlock the ability toselect it or any ones that come before it for your offline benefit. To put it simply, you can only get offline benefits from a dungeon of equal or lesser value that you have beaten since your last dark ritual. That seems like the most likely case with what information you have given.
@kellcey You can put "donate to orphanage" in a sloth spot to get around having to click it (as long as you have an open one anyway). As for the invintory thing, you can right click something to 'pin' it to the top of that list, be it in your inventory or action areas. The one potential downside of this is that they don't stay pinned if you exit the game (at least it didn't last I used the feature). Perhaps they can make such a thing an option you can turn on and off in a future update?
Has anyone else been having a problem with losing Will when they log in? It has only been happening since the most recent update for me. I don't have auto devote on, so it isn't that. Is there anything else that would spend my will while offline that I'm just not aware of, or is this a new bug?
@firebones1244 Not sure I can be of much help, since that is where I am too, but I figured I would share my strategy just in case. I'm grinding a few runs to help increase my stats, and gain sin and inspiration. I'm at the point in inspiration where the only stuff I have left to get is those that can be gotten infinitely, so I'm just spending it on stat increases (in case you didn't know, you get more inspiration the more unspent sin you have, so holding onto sin until right before reincarnation can help get even more inspiration). Doing the warrior school seems to give the most additional stats, and if you do everything and reincarnate once you hit a roadblock, you can get even more. Also, if you don't know already, there is a bit more you can do after gradation that might help too. Going to the desert (the first place you can go after gradating if you have max guild rank) will allow you to get some allies that are even stronger than those from the first guardian, which can also help.
Just want to say thank you to the developer(s). This latest update seems to have fixed the bug I was having with the browser save on Chrome, which is especially helpful as I just had a small mishap where I would have lost at least an hour of gameplay without the fix.
@maclaren93 Yes, that is how I have been able to save my progress and the only way I have been able to continue playing since this started happening to me. It's really weird because as long as the page doesn't reload, it says I have a browser save, but if I refresh the page it tells me there is none. That's why I'm wondering if it was just something I accidently blocked on the site in my cookies or something. If this isn't happening to anyone else, then that must be the case.
Is anyone else using a Google Chrome browser and not having save data in the browser after reloading the page? I have been having this problem for a while and am trying to troubleshoot it. I wouldn't think it is in the fact that I'm using Chrome not only because if I go back to the start screen from in game it shows I have browser data, but also because that was how I loaded my game when I started playing a little over 6 months ago. It is possible that something changed in Chrome since I started, so I want to see if it is that or something that accidently got turned off in my browser settings for Kongregate. Thanks in advance to anyone able to help me with this!
@Screaper You need to help the three minor spirits before talking to him. The 3 things I believe you need for that are manure, potions, and honey. Did you accidently miss getting any of those resources? In case you did, you get potions by helping the old lady in academic city enough times (I believe the necessary items for the quests [though I don't remember how many] are herbs -> medicine -> potions). The honey you get from Moon Forest Deep (if you don't have the rare ally from there who creates it over time). The manure I don't quite remember how you unlock the ability to make it, but I know it was from someone in Academic city. I would think it is one of the quests that require dung, as that is the needed material to make manure, so make sure you have completed those quests. I believe that is available before you make a decision about going deeper or staying out of the slums, so the choice there shouldn't matter. Hope this helps
@OD36 If you can, try putting treant in your attacking party, probably somewhere toward the bottom (I believe I went with second to last only to me). There is a possibility that the Elder will leave itself open to attack every once in a while if you do this, as it will try and fail to bring your treant onto its side. Additionally, once you manage to beat it (if I remember correctly and wine splash is the attack that makes you attack your allies), there is a hidden mechanic where if you drink wine through the gluttony tab you and your party start building up a resistance to that attack until you reincarnate, making it easier to grind the more you manage to get. If you still end up having trouble after beating it once, you should be able to trade 1 anchovy sandwich to the fat man for 3 wine (in case you need it, help the adventurer that needs chicken enough times to unlock picking olives and that will get you the cooking recipe for sandwiches)
@Mr_Arachneo A Squad is a group of allies that you have set up to go out on quests from the Party area. When an ally is in a squad, it basically means it either is on or is waiting to be sent out on a quest. Any time you don't have a quest in progress, you can go to the Quests tab in the Party area and edit which allies are in a squad. When an ally is in a squad, they cannot be added to the party. You can read more about how it works from the help area (see "Party->Quests").
I might have found another bug, or at least one that is looking like it for me. I recently got summons from The Destroyer, and have been trying to level them up, but I'm wondering if the multiplier is bugged for me. Having the multiplier set to 10 seeds is using 100 but they only go up by the amount 10 would give, which isn't happening on non Destroyer summons. The same happens if I set the multiplier to 1 (it consumes 10 seeds instead and only shows I used 1 seed for upgrade). Is there an additional x10 cost for upgrading these summons, or is this a glitch? I can't tell.
