Is no one going to mention the similarities between this and bullet heaven by kupo707 ? the level design, combat, even some of the bullet patterns and enemies are just way to similar to be ignored. Look i understand that games may fall into the same genre, and thats fine. You should mention if you used some of the code from bullet heaven because, and this is just my opinion, it looks like you simply replaced some sprites and redesigned the menus.
They probably seem similar because they're both bullet hell shooters inspired by the Touhou series. They both have characters instead of ships, forest levels, underwater levels, powerups, currency, upgrades, bullets, enemies to shoot at, and bosses to defeat. Then again, so do dozens of other games.
I dont think you need to invest more then 121 into life. There are buildings that spawn people every day (about 3 min) and 121 life, each point being 1.5 seconds, will make sure that people are going to spawn faster then they die. Therefore, once life is at 121, a few in-game days will top off the population and keep it steady until the next pop. upgrade.
wonderful game! thank you very much for making this. alas, the game saves only when you pick up a spell, and i hate to go from chaos to something else :/ is this intentional or something that you plan on changing in the future ?
It would appear as though you can skip upgrades. For example, I saved 5 litters of blood and just bought 3rd lvl seeds with out purchasing lvl 1 or 2. Not sure if this is intentional. Good idea thought, besides little bugs here and there. Keep working :)
