Blocking doesn't seem to scale well over time. When you first acquire it you can almost completely block all enemy damage if you invest, but as the levels progress you simply can't buff it enough, even with the bonuses. I found myself at level 8 or level 9 with probably 20% of my trimps on trainer duty, only blocking 1/10th or less of an enemy attack.
Its rendered completely useless by this, and now on level 11 I've completely fired all trips from that job. It's just a waste since there's no way to catch up.
Fun game. Just a couple suggestions on the controls.
1) When you've specified a row as 'x' you are essentially marking it as an empty row, so it is really frustrating when you accidentally drag into that row later and lose your perfect. It'd be nice if you had to start in that specific row to mark it, so as to limit human error.
2) when you're dragging x's across the map and move into a row that already has x's you end up flipping that row back to blank. I can't think of a reason when the user would want that to happen, so it would probably be better to have what the row is changed to be specified by the cell the drag started in.
3) It's minor, but I found it a little irritating to accidentally wrap across the map when dragging and (again losing my perfect). I can see how this would be useful when using the keyboard to navigate, but it would be nice for me if it was disabled when dragging. Others may disagree though, so I'm not as attached to this as the first two.
Seriously. One of two things needs to happen to this game.
1) Make dragons killable without divine edge.
2) Guarantee at least 1 divine edge before each dragon. Its totally gay when you get 2 dragons in a row and no way to have prepared for the second.
One thing I would mention, the ration of divine edges to elixers should be more even. Since you practically need a divine edge to kill the dragons, being left at day 14 without ever seeing a divine edge just leaves you SOL and pissed.
Fun game though.
Only one real problem, its too easy to neutralize enemy spawn points. Get a bayonet trooper. Put next to spawn. Tell him to defend. Never see a creep from that spawn attacking you ever again.
One issue that could be easily fixed with a boolean check: Let people disable move all. Its a pain to misclick it and then be unable to get out of moving everyone at once.
