Thought this game looked so cool until I realized that it's one of those irritating games that require you to take actions every hour, or once a day, or some other irritating requirement. The equivalent of steam punk farmville. Maybe some people like this style, but it's not my thing.
Is Fred safe? Is he about to get eaten by wolves or violated by a woodsman? or violated by wolves while a woodsmen watches? Are the wolves the woodsmams pets whose sole purpose was to drive him into the evil mans lair so that they could feast on the innards of poor unsuspecting Fred?
This game was amazing. It was really fun and despite the frustration for certain moments... and the look and find (Which I am not a fan of) The music and the puzzles made me sit here for... well, longer than I should have been.
How in the world was I supposed to solve the snails... I just used the process of elimination... trying all possible combinations. Also, D-O-U-G-H-N-U-T, took me forever to figure out it was spelled differently. Aside from my confusion, it was a really well done game. Still... I want to know how to do those snails...
On a side note. I am the best city planner ever! Everything is based around the tavern! Where you can wallow in your misery and drink away your depression. Right next to the tavern is the casino! Because drunkards should always gamble! But just in case that losing all your money while drunk isn't quite depressing enoguh, just one door down is the undertakers, just to rub it in as to why you might be drinking in the first place. Conveniently placed across the street is the gun store, which has a prime location, sandwiched between the school and the jewellery store!
Of course the logical path is to go from the funeral home to the tavern, to the casino, to the funeral home, to the gun store, the jewlery store, and finally, the school!
I give up... I can't find the holy grail. No wonder Kind Arthur had a problem with it. It's pretty much impossible for me to run out of money, I make it faster than I can spend it. I make over 75000 a day, which is what I spend on nukes (Not counting ore... I only sell my ore when that special thing pops up). My map is one large city, and I'm almost certain that all of the shops and public services cover every square. Now, while I have no problem nuking my city... I'm fairly certain I've blown up every square... maybe ive just missed it?
It's cool, but it seems really similar to a game called MotherLoad (Now, revamped and upgraded, to be released for Download on consoles!) And it wasn't quite as fun as MotherLoad. Either way, still a fun game!
Someone made a comment saying that it would be cooler if the creators had just let people figure out the connection between this and Company of Myself. In a way, I agree with them. It would have been an interesting connection for the community to make, and an OMG moment for many. But myself? I'm not sure I would have made the connection myself. When he "multi-tasked" I'm not sure that I would have realised it was the same as CoM, even then, same creator, same ideas, possibly just a little nod to their other game. And lets face it, I can't remember the names of my co-workers, let alone characters from a game... even one like Company of Myself. So honestly, if they Hadn't told me it was a prequel, all those moments that connected the two, wouldn't have meant anything. And that moment at the end... you know the one, it wouldn't have made me want to cry.
We don't have an energy system that restricts gameplay. Would you like tips on decreasing craft times?
