This is not a new game. I don't know why it is listed as such. I remember playing and beating it years ago. It wasn't bad. Just don't understand why it is being introduced as a new game.
I find it goofy that your own weapons can kill you, but the knightsaber doesn't deflect projectiles in a way that can clear enemies. Top that off with you dying whenever you get close enough to actually kill a caster with it and it is worthless- like all the other weapons.
Still needs balancing. I get that it isn't possible or even realistic to have opponents be truly matched at your level. However, when I am a level 112, entering a tournament for levels 65-100 and I get wasted every time in the second round by a level 80, it is just frustrating. I shouldn't need to be level 150 to beat an opponent half my level.
I'm just going to suggest that if leveling something has no benefit unless something else is unlocked, you shouldn't be able to level it. I wasted a lot of mastery points that I wouldn't have otherwise.
Not trying to be overly critical, by the way. I think the game concept is good.
I try to do stuff like that but Innovation has other uses later on so it wouldn't be possible (plus it works on all skills, even level 0.) I am however planning to add a Mastery Skill Reset button but there are a few issues that need to be worked out first. Edit: Forgot to mention you can also experiment by using the save/load system -- Just save before spending mastery points then reload if you don't like the results.
Innovation doesn't seem to be working. I have a master who has level 10 skills and level three innovation, but the new disciple is still only able to max skills at level ten.
An award needs to be unlocked before you can go higher than level 10. I will try to find a place to add this information so other players don't get confused.
Whenever you get an upgrade, you get the exact opposite of what was promised. When you get armor, you explode faster. Get the body that claims to grab more fuel and you never see a fuel can again.
When you reset, you only get half of the power output than you got with your last research center. This is why people are reporting being unable to get as far as they did last time.
Kongregate is doing its best to show its disdain for anyone who doesn't use Firefox. Regardless of whether this game is good or not, it shouldn't be game of the day if a large base of the community cannot earn the badge.
That sounds like it might be a bigger issue. We tried to optimize the game this week but some computers are still not going to like this. If some cache-clearing doesn't help we've got some plans on optimizing and initial loads but those will take the next week or two to happen. Sorry about that.
Did some refreshes help at all? I've marked it as something for us to look into to see if there's something we can chase down. (And sorry that happened!)
Great game! I have one suggestion though. Could you not place the treasure chests right where the quests are? It can be a bit frustrating when you go to click them and get the quest instead all the time. Or maybe some way to collect all the chests at one time would solve it too.
supermechs was a very different game when it first came out. we kept developing it constantly and its even very different then what it was a year ago. but on any case, I respect your opinion.
You don't have to die when you kill a caster with Knightsaber, just don't get too close ;)
