For those who have forgotten or misplaced the code to quickly grab the BotD and skip this game: F12 to open the debug console and make sure "console" is the active tab. Click the frame selector (upper right corner of the console window) and select the game's iframe. Then, paste the following to get your badge, and note that this should work on just about every VasantJ game, so feel free to just...cycle through them all with this so you never have to deal with them again: $gameMap._interpreter.pluginCommand("KongAPI", ["submit", "complete", 1])

It's unfortunate that "a certain series" has given RM games a bad name here. Not all of them are that, and this one is decent enough.

@Balbanes you're fighting a pointless battle, so give it a rest already. Just let people do what they must to get through a series they don't like for the badges they want. It's not hurting anybody. Go ahead and click on the high scores for this game and take a look at the "All Time" scores. If the absurdly high scores by certain users are *still* up after all this time, it's unlikely that Kong and its limited staff have any interest in hunting down what users they still have who just use the code once to grab their badge and then leave. Besides, the code only works on rpgmaker games using a specific kong api plugin.

@Athens1234: In a sense, it actually is Vasantj's fault for creating literally 30-40 of these shovelware asset flips, many of which (due to low standards, minimal competition, or whatever) bagged him the kong monthly cash prize, month after month. I guess you could say it's also Kong's fault, not just for badging them, but for encouraging him to make them over and over and over and over until we have the amount here we have today, and for shutting off the supply of new potential games that could be something other than *these*.

@Tantoney: It still works, just make sure you have the right window set in the debug console. One way to check is to just type $gameMap by itself, and if it shows undefined, it's the wrong window.

Second one of the week, oh boy. The master code from last week works here, too: Open the browser console and set the active window to the game's iframe. (F12 in Firefox, the iframe selector is one of the buttons in the upper right of the console) Paste the following into the debug console: $gameMap._interpreter.pluginCommand("KongAPI", ["submit", "complete", 1]) and if you did it right, you'll have the badge. Now go play something fun.

Here we are, another week with no end of these in sight. The master code from last week works here, too: Open the browser console and set the active window to the game's iframe. It would seem my shortcut comment got deleted because somebody out there delights in the suffering of humans. Hopefully most of you got it before that happened--keep the shortcut alive, because that one might just work for most of them, assuming VasantJ uses the same kong api rpgmaker plugin for all of his games.

@Balbanes I can get why you might think that way, but consider this: Posting these shortcut solutions is going to mean less overall hate (but not none) for a series that just won't go away because VasantJ has published an absurd total of FORTY rpgmaker asset flip detective games that all play the same way. So do try to see it as beneficial to this series, even if you may not personally agree with the method in which it's done. If people who decided they don't care for this type of game after the first two can come in, get their badge, and get out with minimal time spent, they're less likely to leave nasty comments about it, right?

Gonna go ahead and post the code today because it's a bit trickier. Like before, open the console on firefox and set the active frame to the game's iframe (upper right corner of the console). Now, start a new game and while the text about blah blah something devil is rendering, type (or copypaste) $gamePlayer.reserveTransfer(10, 0, 0) and hit enter. This must be done before the arrow appears on the bottom of the screen to advance. Then, when the arrow appears, DO NOT advance normally. Next, type $gameMap._interpreter.terminate() and hit enter. Now advance. If you did it right, the music should change and Dregg should start talking. If not, no worries it'll loop and you can try again. Or restart the game. Anyway, while Dregg is talking, just spam page down to get through the nonsense. You'll have some choices to deal with, but here's the answers in order: Rumors, Kill him, First, Receipts, Tira, Infuriated, Boris, Tira, Farmer, Completely covered, Hallucinate.

I feel like somebody needs to explain to the rest just why these games are so hated, so here goes. As gamers on Kongregate, we're a diverse bunch. We each have our own tastes in games. Sometimes, a type of game we dislike shows up as the BotD, so we suck it up and get through it, hoping never to return afterward. The problem with THIS series is that it just. Keeps. Coming. Back. It's Papa's *eria on steroids. Hell, a quick glance shows that Vasantj made FORTY of these. I bet he made an absolute killing on Kong's monthly game submission contests because people kept voting them up. Luckily, myself and a few others have shortcut solutions that we'll try to post each time one comes up. This time around, somebody beat me to the 2-minute solution, so scroll back a bit to find the console command you'll need. :)

Quick 30 second botd: Start a new game and skip past all the cutscenes until you're able to move around. In firefox, press f12, make sure the console is selected/active, click the iframe selector in the upper right area of the console window, then select the game's iframe instead of the main window. Now, type $gamePlayer.reserveTransfer(5, 0, 0) press enter. If you did everything, you'll be in a new room with more cutscenes. When they're done, enjoy your botd.

@vadhaghl: Yes and no. The map id (33 in this case) will be different each time, but the other steps should be the same as long as the ending event is triggered via autorun event like it is in this one.

Tired of slogging through these cutscene nightmares for badges as much as I am? Okay here's what you do. 1. In firefox, go ahead and start the game (hold pagedown to get through the initial dialog) and then press F12 to open the debug console. Make sure the "console" tab is selected. 2. Click on the iframe selector (upper right area of the console window) and select the game's iframe instead of the main window as the new target. 3. Now, in the console, type $gamePlayer.reserveTransfer(33, 0, 0) and hit enter. If you selected the correct iframe, it should whisk you away to the end of the game after a bit more dialog. Collect your badge and then spend the next 30 minutes doing something you actually want to.

@buckbry000 I don't think so, but both of them use the same engine (RPG Maker MV) to make hidden object puzzle games without any RPG combat, hence why they seem similar.

So "love" is being the lone white square amidst a bunch of black squares, and having to connect to as many of them as possible at the same time? I'm okay with this.

I already have the Steam version, so I'm just dropping by to give this fantastic game and its equally fantastic developer a quick 5/5. It's amazing to see how far this series has come from its humble roots as a simple series of level-less wave battles. That said, it's good to see another EBF game rightfully at the top of the RPG category on Kong's front page. I hope it stays there for a long, long time.
