Tips:
Get and upgrade the mech mole as quickly and as often as possible. Fuel and drill are the next most important ones
Once the mole is completely upgraded, focus on getting at least one badge a day.
A good way to help with this is to hover just above the thicker strata level, giving you more time, allowing you to pick off the needed gems as you see fit.
The rewards are worth roughly 160000, so you need to end with a 140000 balance at least.
To get the 26000 depth reward, save three nitros until you're as deep as you can go (around 24000), then mash the keyboard.
I still keep losing my saves, and when I tried to do them all in one playthrough, the game froze on Edward's story. I like this game, but it's way too buggy.
Awesome game. I love the music, especially when you hit the last timeline. And the title shout-out is awesome... I kept trying to find a way to save everyone, because of the title, and when that line came up in the last timeline, I was like AWESOME!
While the conversation choices are a nice touch, they don't actually affect the game all that much. And really, after your first few decisions, everything is pretty much set for you. You can't so much as talk to members of the other faction after you've established yourself with the others.
Which makes sense--why WOULD the Shadow Runners give a job to a dyed-in-the-wool Alliance member--but at the same time seems to run counter to the game's point. If you're fighting to restore peace to Tempor and unite the factions, how come you have no choice BUT to fight? Unless, of course, the point of the game is that the Shadow Runners ARE completely right--the only way to progress is through battle.
Also, I feel that the top-down perspective cheapens this game. A slightly foreshortened perspective, such as is used in the Zelda games, or even on the tower in this game, would allow you to keep the style while giving greater depth to the characters.
You know, upon revisiting this series, I'm starting to think it's a little disturbing that this woman has a magic box that she can use to rewrite time to make sure she gets the man of her dreams. I mean, it was cute the first couple times, but by the fourth it's starting to seem a bit much. And what about the poor woman who marries the artist here? What happens to her?
Game has an annoying tendency to get locked in a certain direction and go there regardless of the user's commands. I'd blame it on my keyboard, except it's happened on two computers.
Excellent graphics, but it would be more convenient if the weapons automatically reloaded when you ran out, and it's rather hard to find your opponents in so large a map.
A little buggy.. it has the tendency to freeze up occasionally. I can't nail Buzz on Naomi's story. And there should be a way to skip through cutscenes. But the game itself is suprisingly intricate and complex.
Okay, no one else seems to be having this problem, but on the last level, I keep getting stuck in the webs. Like not just me, the whole game. things still happen around me, I can turn around and shoot, but I can't inflict damage and I can't take damage. It looks like a glitch, and it's annoying because I've gotten to the end boss twice and keep getting it.
Running off Memento, are we? I also expected an even more backwards game--click on finished objects to separate them into their earlier components--but on reflection that would not have very challenging, so this was perhaps better.
Interesting conception, especially the way the writing works at the beginning, nice idea in having the child "learn" to read, it would have been good to see more of that throughout the game, having the child grow and develop as she overcomes various difficulties.
Outside of that, I would have put in some sort of auto-save function, it's annoying to have to continually restart the game from the beginning. Also, you may not want to state your theme so BLATANTLY at the beginning... people dislike being told what the moral of a game is.
Very fair critique. at present I'm not updating the game, I'm just getting an understanding of how people feel about the game. This piece was the result of a short coursework I did at uni and I'll be taking on board everyone's helpful comments. Thanks for playing Afalstein :)
Interesting story, but some of the locations feel awfully random. I had to click on a background bush in order to find the mushroom. It feels as thought the objects should be more evident. Still, it wasn't actually difficult or frustrating, so I guess it worked out okay.
This game, while not awesome, deserves better than it's rating. The action is good, the physics are believable, and teh weaponry is nice. Difficulty is a little off, perhaps, but outside of that it's a good game.
Old quote, but good application. In the last segment, though, you should carry a cane, just to underscore the proverb again.
Also, Neil Gaiman/Sandman quote for the win!
A nice end, all in all. Very nice scene with them all sitting there. Putting in text is a new addition, in some places it seems unnesscessary and simply distracting, but it does bring the witch's character more to life as a person. You could go either way.
