The upgrade mechanic on this is interesting (in a good way). The game is straightforward but really fun. Only real issue is the balloons killing momentum.
I think a really fun mode for this game would be one that counts the number of moves you make to complete the level. People can compete to complete a level with the least amount of moves!
Fantastic game that takes the tower defense mechanism to a whole new level. Who knew that hastily gathering resources and building up an array of weaponry to vanquish a killer, all-consuming liquid from space could be so fun?
My only complaint is that those new to the series need to use google to fully understand the game and the towers. I had to use wiki numerous times. Adding the information to the game, or even just linking to the wiki could help other play the game to its full potential.
"Oh crap, my ship is almost destroyed. Can you guys wait here while I get it repaired?"
Pirate Officer: "Sure, we'll be right where you left us."
Pirate: "Um, shouldn't we repair or get some backup... or finish him off!?"
Pirate Officer: "Nah"
A unique strategy game with interesting twists at every level... simply awesome. My only complaint is with the endless mode. It misled me to believe that the game saves, and that I could pick up my game wherever I left off. I think being able to actually continue your endless game (by saving it) would be a great addition to an already wonderful game
Congratulations on getting more attention, I seriously thought the game was going to go mostly ignored on this site.
I believe you mentioned a short story that you based the game on... have you made that available yet?
Great game, but bit of an anti-climatic ending. Care to explain the meaning of it?
Otherwise, I really enjoyed it... it's a shame it didn't get more attention
Obviously needs to be longer. Great concept, but I feel if you're trying to make a successful and similar game you'll need more scenes to get the point across more clearly. Good job otherwise
Yes I agree, the game's length is its main flaw (because it really cuts down narrative). But it was a sort of testing the waters thing for me, I released it to grow accustomed to how to distribute flash games and I learned quite a lot! My future project is already more fleshed out and is turning out very well.
There's a problem with certain browsers that doesn't allow you to see all of the possible answers, as there is no scroll bar. You can use the down arrow to go through all possible answers on the drop down menu.
Hope this helps, it certainly would have saved me some time
Finally beat the game with no hints / walkthrough. It only took me a couple of months on and off, haha.
Great game, looking forward to seeing more artistic games from you in the future
Yes, you can find the link in the description of the game.
