This game really went downhill after the UI update. I mean they've made the dumb achievement block mistake twice and when the hell are they gonna fix the scrolling?? Plus, now when i try to play i can't. The screen is just white and sometimes flashes black. Just go play Clicker Heroes.
It was never our intent to copy Fez. On the surface it may seem like a Fez clone due to the art style and some of the spatial reasoning aspects, but it's fundamentally different. We do not use voxels, nor any kind of 3D engine-- just plain old perspective and logic. Whereas Fez levels are designed to be a part of an expansive world, our levels are limited to what can fit on a 7x7x7 grid box and are meant to make the player feel more trapped than free. The original plan was to use boxes to construct a path around booby traps, monsters, and treasure, but given the complexity of the three-dimensional puzzles, those ideas had to be tabled.
