Using a form of evolution to specialize your units is an interesting idea, but when I get to level 10 and I keep losing because my units are going out of my control and accidentally touching the "increase range/damage" square so many times that they can't even MOVE anymore and I get shot from behind, I start to think that maybe this game needs some better control options.
This game seems to have some issues with certain tiles becoming impossible to pass through for no real reason. I just got stuck next to the sand generator and lost about a half hour of progress. ...I kind of feel like this is a problem.
Ummm... does exploding incoming missiles with the fully-upgraded EMP count toward your "disabled" medal or not? Because I must have blown up about 1000 of the things, I went EMP-crazy-- but the counter for "missiles disabled" didn't even show up on the end-game screen...?
HIGH SCORE PROTIP: Avoid bubbles altogether - use the "invulnerability" and "minesweeper" powerups to destroy mines instead. This way, you earn points while staying small enough to dodge and survive.
These customers are insane. "No-- I wanted the pickle ON TOP of the lettuce! And barbecue sauce in between each individual layer!! This place is the worst! See you tomorrow."
I really don't know why part of the field goes off the left side of the screen... every time something gets past, its because there's no place to put a guy over there. Maybe I shouldn't put everyone right next to the ship, but still-!
I don't like the ninjas. They go against the whole point of the game! Here, go build all these towers, kill guys with these towers, upgrade these towers-- oh, the joke's on you, we just walked past your towers. I don't like losing a strategy game because I couldn't *aim* well enough. Aside from that, good game.
You know, this game doesn't have the clearest set of controls, and it doesn't ever seem to run very smoothly, even on the lowest detail, but the idea behind the gameplay - and the puzzles it puts you through - are actually pretty good, and that's kind of the point, isn't it?
Wow, it's like the worst part of an old-school adventure game, minus the story, times forever.
And it has FOUR STARS?
Combine "awful game" with "sense of taste" and BE ASHAMED
TIP FOR THE BOAR BOSS: The two trees on either side of the arena spit out a never-ending stream of power ups if you keep punching them. So, that helps. (The fight still takes forever though)
This is probably the most obtuse and frustrating of all the tower defense-style games on Kongregate. Ugly, super-slow, and overly punishing for even the smallest mistake. For example- when the creator of the game has an entire help entry devoted to explaining why he won't let you sell units, and impugning your game playing ability in a really condescending way for even asking, you know that the game you are trying to play has some messed-up priorities. So yeah, screw this game.
