Beautiful game with logical puzzles! I loved being able to figure out everything by stopping and thinking about it instead of by spamming an item until it works on something. :)
The minigames were just the right balance: challenging, but not quite frustrating enough to make me look up a guide. And that is a satisfying feeling! :)
I love pretty much everything about this game, the art, the story, the music, everything. The characters are really intriguing, and I giggled at smooth-talking the girl.
It looks interesting, but keeps saying my session has expired about 5 seconds after loading. I have refreshed several times and it keeps doing it, making the game unplayable for me. Sucks 'cause I love GoT. :(
I was skeptical when you said the game would take a couple hours to complete…and startled to realize that it actually did. This is an incredible story--a little word-heavy even for me, but still really good. I feel sorry for the squirrel (guess the "happiness potion" is a temporary solution).
Are the dreds a new hairstyle? I noticed that your games always use the same images for characters. (I find them rather charming, so that's not a bad thing.)
Yup Dreads were one fo 2 new hairstyles added this chapter, there's also 3 new pieces of equipment in the graphics, I was going to add more but it became obvious that each one was decreasing performance, I have a way to optimize the sprite even further and add limitless new equipment graphics (Lots was done this chapter) but it's a good week or two of work to do and I wanted to put that time into the game play instead for this one.
This is a great throwback to Zelda with some improvements (exp levels, more things to spend money on) and some things that could be better (character development/plot, variety of enemies, puzzles). A game that requires so much grinding needs a good story to keep it interesting. All of the characters I encountered were bland and shallow. All of the enemies I saw (granted, I played until I had passed through the sewer building and was character level 50) were of very few basic types: melee or ranged, agressive or passive until attacked. They had no unique behaviors (for example, flying over things, jumping, blocking attacks, trying to get behind the player) and later enemies were copies of earlier ones with different colors. Despite these things, I really enjoyed playing this game and I hope you will continue to improve and make better games in this style.
On the one hand, I thought the warehouse door was unnecessarily complicated. On the other, I think it drives home just how paranoid the filthling is. The game could have been longer, but if you're making more then that's ok. Love your games, as always!
Not bad, although I think that sky might have been taken from/strongly based on minecraft. The monsters are super creepy, but not difficult to defeat. I wish there were potions or some way of healing available in the village.
Yet another awesome game by Nerdook! I especially like that the enemies change when you go back to a level…takes away some of the monotony that is very common with this type of game.
When I got my first special item (a fishbowl) the "done" button could not be clicked. Other parts of the screen (Sfx, quality, links) were working just fine but I could not continue with the game.
I tried using WASD instead of arrow keys to move (more comfortable when using a mouse) and discovered that, although they can be used to move, W and S are reversed so that I was perpetually walking backwards. Other than that, with the controls being so awkward I don't think there should be enemies in this game.
There needs to be a way to scroll down the list of arguements. Using the arrow keys sometimes affects all the arguments instead of just the one you were trying to scroll down on.
This is basically like Minesweeper, but more relaxed and with colors to complicate things. Very easy to get sucked into, although I did get frustrated in a couple spots (usually when all but two or three clues had been satisfied). It definitely requires a lot more patience than most other puzzle games, as guessing or trying all options methodically will just make it harder.
The life of the squirrel after the game would make a pretty good 5-min cartoon. too bad I can't animate :(
