Ok so I think I'm missing a download... The graphics example code on page 14 brings up nothing on my Flash player. Is this a common problem or do I need to do some troubleshooting?
Part 7/7 While Loop Practice, Calculating a Factorial Part 2
On this page in the while loop, there is a typo where the variable is called decrementNumber when it should be called decrementValue.
Love the game btw
"There are infinite numbers between zero and one, but none of them are two!" ... This may sound stupid, - that comment should not have blown my mind as much as it did.
the counter on the ends of the graph that tells you how many are in that block is the most useful thing I've seen in these kind of games. Good thought!
The fact that the cards can be any suit or color makes this more of a menial card rearrangement task than a game. The animation is nice, though I'm not a fan of the elevator music myself. Very little strategy or purpose though...
First off, I like the idea and the zombie animations are solid. Big tip though: if you are going to make a shooter in 1st person, shot placement NEEDS to count. A more difficult shot to the head should do more damage than a shot to the thigh. I also like the reloading whole clips at a time, rather than the magically-rearranging-bullets that most games have. Needs work, but some tweaks could make this game a good one.
I'm still running an older computer, and when the popup came up to lower the setting after sensing it in the middle of gameplay, I was in awe of some fine programming. Well done, sir.
I really like the basic mechanic and how the level doesn't start until you're ready. Maybe could use some variety beyond saw blades, and needs some minor bug tweaks. (lvl 22 works differently with clicking than with using the x button) 3/5 a nice game.
aww, that makes me happy and sad
