Really nice music and aesthetic, but it's too easy to make a game-breaking bug by leaving the screen before a soul spawns but after a character disappears :(
Luckily if the soul had a appeared you don’t technically need to pick it up - it’s a simple work around to fix the issue and I should probably make something more obvious - but for now you don’t actually need all the souls in your inventory to work - you just need to see them
Good one hour game. There is some grinding but it's bearable. The difficulty was just fair enough. I don't really see what the big deal is with the ending, though it's a nice twist.
Never have I ever moved the city from its starting position. It hasn't occurred to me in this or the other creeper game to fly the city somewhere better until I went back and looked at the tutorial level. What a surprise!
Lolololol epic counter attack. I was lucky and got two 5 matches in a turn. Then I got 180% counter and 100% defense. Enemy uses the special 5-match-thing and gets a special atk++. He takes 547 dmg. I win. YES
A game that tries desperately hard to be clever but ultimately falls flat. The writing is forgettable. The twists are inane, and the story is not captivating in the least. The game-play is tiresome and far too easy, and the art while having a nice hand-drawn style was rather unimpressive. The only redeeming quality is the myriad of allusions to other tales and fictions. Would not play again.
