I think the biggest thing that makes this game more difficult than it ought to be, is that the enemy indicators are significantly smaller than the actual hit zone.
So, I've been playing for a while as a free player. To be honest, it's really just a pain to keep playing without money. The main reason I feel this to be true is that arcane dust is just too hard to get. I honestly feel this game would be a lot more playable if arcane was easier to obtain. -> Perhaps allow players to replay boss battles for arcane dust rewards?
I find that this game actually suits my needs. Understand, I absolutely hate games that put so much emphasis on paying and it is for this reason that this game has received a 2/5 from me. Should the developers reduce the cost to play, my rating will go up.
However, I find that it is a good game to play as a student. I play until I can't and then I go study until everything refills. :P
I think this would be a great game. However, my selling sliders do not work (I watched both the listed price on the shelf and how much I would get from customers.) I wanted to get a lot of money from people rushing food items, but the only thing my selling slider did was raise my cooler costs. Same amount of stock cost more if I raised my selling slider.
Forgive me for saying this, but the controls are very awkward. I see the developer comment, but I have to disagree with the "traditional" portion. Traditionally, with a WASD set up, you have a mouse that changes perspective and you click to attack/action or whatnot. Futhermore, A and D rotate your view rather than the mouse.
Nothing traditional about these controls.
Thank you for playing first off. hmmm...I have no problems with the controls, and I'm not the best gamer. I use my four left fingers for w,a,s,d, my left thumb to fire, and my right hand on the mouse. Not sure why people are having issues with this, I think it's very straight forward and comfortable. How many times did you play? I am going to hook up a joystick hopefully soon, and maybe that will be better for some people. Thank you either way for your input, it's just I'm not seeing any issues, and I like the controls too much to change it, I think they're some of the best bow controls in any game I've ever played.
To be perfectly honest: After I finally hit the 3000 kill mark through sheer randomness (not kidding, I had both the random ring and sword) and then the 7500 mark shortly after that with the random ring again, I was rather unimpressed by the tier x items that added approximately 2000 kills on average....
Micromanagement.......Oh my goodness, you just stole away all the time I spend elsewhere while I'm waiting for my income to get me to the next tier......Idle meets Anti-Idle...
I don't know if I can duplicate this, but I just noted a small bug: To upgrade Newspaper from 880 - 890 cost over 15 quinquadecillion. I had 14 quinquadecillion and decided to use the 10x purchase option to bring it up as high as I could before I left and it gave me the full ten.
All right, so the color was actually the easier part. I had a bit of difficulty on the piano. I got caught in the Morse Code, (A, K, Q, J) and followed the red herring of the order of the cards trying to incorporate that into the piano. That was clever.
Hint: Morse Code is a red herring.
Actually, after I got the color hint from EigerTroll, I was able to riddle out the meaning of the symbols. ;)
It takes a bit of thinking, but it's possible to figure out what you're supposed to do without the walkthrough (which I still haven't used).
I think, in an update or something, I'd like to know why it's easier for me to get my oil plant to 500 than it is for me to get my newspaper stand to 500....
My last comment got put under the rating threshhold...probably because some people didn't understand what I meant. I'll say it in a different way and hopefully be a little more clear and because I'm not sure that the developer meant it this way based off he rest of the jobs.
My movie studio and bank are both at 200. My bank is completing it's job approximately twice as fast as my movie studio. Achievements and upgrades are at the same level as well. By my reasoning based on the rest of the jobs, the movie studio ought to be going faster than the bank. Unless it was intended that the bank go faster?
Is there any way that time could be paused while I'm working on managing my projects? I find myself running out of time while I'm chasing around the right workers for the job, thus losing money because I don't have the managing time that I need to do things right....
Don't know if this was mentioned before, but frozen enemies count as dead. If I have one or more frozen enemies and they're the only ones left, it sends me to the next wave.
All right, reiterating what I said:
I went through the first five levels without buying any attack or crit. I literally beat the dragon by pushing him off the edge. Don't know if you're supposed to be able to do that, but he went halfway off the screen and his life just started draining and I wasn't even hitting him.
