A very well made game, I love how the increasing challenge makes use of existing player mastery while demanding additional mastery. The progression feels very natural.
Good game. I feel that more explanation should go into detailing that your physical bulk will block shots but will shrink after being hit so many times, and your orb is thereby protected by your bulk. I think it should also be explained that you are actually upgrading your enemies, not just making them worth more. It took me a while before I caught on to those mechanics. Fun game tho.
So... A fire knight enemy ended up becoming invincible on stage 7. He'd follow me but wouldn't attack. I could hit him and rack up combos, but I could finish the level.
Good fun game. Only gripe is that later bosses deal more than one damage with bullets. Bullets should deal one damage across the board so there's no surprise over dying when you have 3 health left but get one shotted to death.
Game starts out great. Multiple weapon options in the first area, the ability to angle weapons for added strategic depth, good music, all great. But then as the game progresses, it gets less and less fun to play. The enemies completely outscale you. You get incrementally stronger while the enemies get a noticeable spike in strength, whether through sheer numbers, toughness or raw damage, you feel weaker and they feel stronger. Also, the weapon choices diminish in variety and usefulness as the game progresses. I've made it to the 5th planet, the blackhole, and no weapon from either the 4th or 5th planet feels even remotely as effective as either rubber cannons or homing missiles from the 3rd planet.
I really like the feel of this game. Only complaint is it can get pretty tricky later on when you have rooms full of enemies and all you can do is poke. Wish there was some sort of upgrade other than more hearts. 4/5
It'd be much more helpful to have the enemy bullets be a layer above the player's bullets so that they don't become shrouded by the player's fire. Additionally, you might want to outline the enemy bullets so that they pop out more. I'm partially colorblind and I have some difficulty distinguishing red from green. On the 4th level, the green back ground makes it difficult to identify the red bullets. If you outlined the bullets in a different color than their primary color, the contrast should offset any colorblind issues. Thanks developing this game, it was fun.
Umm... Sushi cat got so fat that he swallowed one of the pink balls that he bounces off of and is just hanging there, moving back and forth in neverending fat bliss. I'm serious the game glitched and I can't get him off of the ball! XD
Yay! I made it to floor 7 on my first try. Not yay! I got ambushed by about 5-6 aliens when I arrived on floor 7. Tho that's understandable if it's supposed to be absurdly difficult. What's not understandable is it glitching out and not allowing my to fire after using a Large Health Kit on myself mid battle.
Umm... ok, the Killing Moon card is kinda broken... the death commander used against me and now I have armies of skeletons coming out of either portal... THEY WON"T STOP SPAWNING!!!
