I managed to jump over the mountains and enter a straight plane of never ending hell. Also, is turning off your flashlight going to have any benefits besides not having to look at Slender Man as he kills you in the pitch blackness? Maybe make it to where when the flashlight is off instead of being pitch black maybe making the distance you can see ahead of you shorter and dimmer than with the flashlight. You could also add a sort of urgency by giving your flashlight limited battery power. If it runs out, your fear meter could slowly and constantly increase and Slender Man could become more aggressive and attack you even if you CAN see him, making players also have to conserve battery or get left in the dark until more batteries are found. To add even more of an “oh god I’m screwed” feeling when your batteries ran out, you could have your character start breathing hard and have Slender Man let out a horrifying screech just to let you know he’s coming to add you to his bloody husk collection. The music could then become more suspenseful and dramatic! :D
