I'd love to see this expanded on. Agree that it needs some kind of story mode. (Something that ties into the rescuing denizens thing, maybe?) Something definitely keeps drawing me back to this game.
Love how everyone is too mad at the sponsor to talk about anything else. True, it's got some balance issues, but it's a cool new format for a defense game, and it's very challenging.
Yes, get off Game Ark if at all possible, but for the game itself I'd like to see a little bit slower rise on the difficulty. Ideally you'd be able to win without constant clicking. Also, I'm getting some glitchiness with elevator switching where the icons don't appear and I'm stuck in one spot, but that might be settings on my end.
Excellent design, good music, good atmosphere... the "?" button was handy, too, and a great thought. The storyline is one of those you're left to really chew on, and it just gets sadder the more you think about it. This one's a gem.
NVM. Best way to get through level 9 appears to be: two clusters of fighters at the exit (a few upgraded for splash damage) then archers everywhere else (a few upgraded for fire arrows.) Works like a charm.
Very solid game. Does feel an awful lot like Kingdom Rush, right down to the campy voice acting, but.
By the way, level 9 is kicking my butt. Anyone know a good strategy for it?
Played YFYIAR, but it was so long ago I forgot the developer's name. Then picked up this one by chance. Cue the "AAAAHHHHHG ABOMI ahahaha wait what"
My freakout aside--amazing games, dude.
Excellent game, and I'm solidly addicted... but I seriously can't figure out how you're supposed to beat the iron challenge on icewind pass. Those gargoyles eventually get past even a fully-upgraded mage tower with all the special abilities just by sheer numbers, and I can't add more, nor can I add archers. Is there some way to deal with them that I'm missing?
Funny, poignant and sweet. The music was perfect. I'm a cynical bat, and I still fell hard for the storybook feel of this game--there was no way *not* to.
Nice! The moody, minimalistic scenery was perfect, and the opening events definitely hooked me. The story feels like a really creepy, old-school fairy tale, complete with horrible bloody death. xD Very cool.
