Great beginning. Really liked it. My findings
1.) movement is clunky (unresponsive, sluggish, lacks fine control)
2.) Sometimes I can move onto the medium grey blocks, but I usually can't move off them.
3.) I would like to see persistent upgrades, more options of tech, more opponent variety.
4.) It would help (at least unofficially) if the levels had a certain situations of strategy decisions (constraints, terrain issues) Enemy is advantaged.
5.) maybe variable terrain behaviors: ice hard to control but more energy, lava: buildings degrade but so do enemies, smog: range reduction, sand: only short buildings.
Just my thoughts. Great start. keep it up.
More variety. Love the tower minion combo. Maybe more minion types that are purchased through a between level upgrade system. And the ability to upgrade either the minions or the portals (to produce stronger minions).
Okay. I have beat the jet pack level. TIP: Before playing the game at all. Zoom into the browser! (ctrl+wheel) The game has more room but does not also enlarge (zoom) so you can see the whole game with NO need to scroll. This was essential for beating the jet pack level.
I just cannot beat the jet pack level #11. Maybe it is the trackball I am using or something. maybe it is the amazing ability of the AI to send their x2 more troop to multiple targets. seriously ruined the game for me. 5/5 to 2/5.
this is a great game. The natural selection aspect is great, though I know you're getting a lot of push back. If you keep bredding the surviving unit the will naturally possess the aspect favorable for the environment. So don't worry about trying to breed specific traits.
Ofcourse the next wave button, but it would be nice for the turrents not to try to target through walls. Maybe a pace button instead of a next wave, of course mine tends to lag in the higher levels - 90+. SO next wave might be better.
