@Iskandros With +858955 rep with Qubba, I can now release prisoners with a minimum reward of 2 million and an average of 20 something million. And if we assume that its a valuable prisoner, I've been able to achieve a max of 223 million per head. *Remember to heal them first, they are worth more that way
@Dhruv9 no worries, that's part of the storyline. How is your rep with the Federation though? If its not too bad, I'd recommend trying to give prisoners to Ausz in order to raise it to neutral. The Federation has the best trade routes in the whole game, but many of the cities are walled, so those with negative rep cannot enter them
Interesting side note though. You can survive a long time without adequate food as long as you have enough water. So don't feel pressured to immediately restart if you arrive at a town without food, your morale might tank real fast but you'll most likely make.
@Dhruv. Since you only have 4-5 million, I'd advise you not to for now, you'll find it a lot more common in Qubba in any case. As a general rule I'd spend only 10-15 percent of my cash on arms/equip. Anyways, the first thing I'd advise you to do in Qubba (Or preferably before) is to switch over to a horse based caravan. The settlement of Mimb sells the cheapest horses, so I'd suggest you do the Twin River oil trade and buy as many horses as possible when passing through Mimb. If you really want to try out Qubba (Assuming you aren't there already) make a save at Northway before moving into Qubba. Traveling there is really intense with a small caravan and you might get trapped there. Mad Dog groups travel at 12 kmph and can easily run you down if you are still on foot or donkey, so there's really no way to outrun them without horses.
@Dhruv9 8x32 scopes would be better. Note that you only have to knock out the few RPG carrying enemies (mostly 2-4 of them out of 10) with your riflemen, so a few good scopes for your best sharpshooters is better than low quality scopes for all of them since most of your men should still be carrying RPGs. When first entering the Qubba region, its best to save your game before each battle as well. Unlucky battles where you lose half your caravan to a lucky RPG shot do happen from time to time
@Dhruv. Use rifles when possible. If you equip them with a scope, you'll be able to snipe their rocket launcher guys from across the map. Unless the map is bare, their rocket launchers will be the only threat. In addition, use rocket launchers against tightly packed individuals and pack animals, especially for Mad Dogs. If you can hit one of the horses, you'll deal damage to all the personnel around it.
@Iskandros .I tend to buy around 40 million worth of concrete and sell it in the Janubi zone. I can rack up around..... 60-70 million worth in one run. If I factor in the Gasoline I can buy from Twin rivers and the Cannabis I bring back, I can get up to 80 million (40 million profit). How much does your route bring in?
Btw, I've been taking your advice about Janubi industries. Its working quite well even though the money needed to start those industries is steep. Thanks for the advice.
@Iskandros. Ah, I see. How much capacity do you have? I have around 52 tonnes with 12-14 dedicated to people, ammo, devices and such. It'd be good to know how my efficiency compares to others
@Iskandros I'm just curious, how are you making so much money? I make mine by shipping cement, but its kind of repetitive so I spend a lot of time going around fighting enemies. Do you use similar methods? Or do you have a better method?
@Iskandros, I've bought it and honestly, its not worth it. Selling as much petroleum as possible to Valentingrad is probably the best way to earn cash in the late game
