More copy & paste garbage from thekastudio. Carefully balanced to be an unbearable grind...unless you pay for microtransactions. Not only that, but they have the nerve to ask for $5 (50 Kreds) for 1 DAY OF BOOSTS!!!!
Microtransaction hell like this is the reason Kong is dead.
This is the kind of game I absolutely love to see on Kong. It's a fun concept and you could finish the whole game in an afternoon. This one definitely deserves to be badged!
Anybody have a recommended upgrade order for the first two decks? I usually go for a direct money generator first like Lizard Den. I thought that Poison was going to be useful, but it turns out to be nowhere close to direct damage.
I wasn't able to get the multiplayer to work, but the rest of the game was pretty fun. I just managed to get both the medium badges.
Getting the grenade kills ended up being easier after softening the enemies up with the cannon.
How many PVP matches do I need to completed to complete campaign #14? It was just one or two each to complete campaigns 11, 12, and 13. I've completed about 5 now and I still have no idea how close I am to the next campaign level.
If you are playing Campaign with PvP mode enabled, then it means you are just farming other players. You should exist the PvP mode to progress in a normal campaign
I dismissed it as a clone of Animation Throwdown at first, but that changed as I continued to play it. Pulling a card out just costs turns instead of cards.
It could really benefit from interrupts and more advanced gameplay, but it is not half bad for what it is. 4/5
I spent weeks and weeks slogging through this game to beat Level 25. My plan was to report the achievement as missing so that I would still get credit for it. Too bad Kong's ticket submission form is broken too....
It sure is thoughtful of the devs to have included an energy meter. They were worried the game was too fun and included a way to keep people from enjoying it for more than 10 minutes.
Kongregate was revived from the dead, only to start featuring poorly programmed games that purposefully lock the enjoyable parts of a game behind microtransactions. If this is the future of Kong, it should have stayed dead.
This definitely seems like a decent start to a game, but it is missing a lot.
-There's a lot of free space in the battle screen. This would be a good spot to put information like current score, coins per second, and the health of the black and red box in an easy to watch spot.
-The upgrade screen is very vague. What do the upgrades do? How much do they cost? The red and blue system is a bit vague at first. Maybe change it to 'Started' and 'Stopped' or some symbols for play and pause? I just happened to have more than 20 score when I clicked on the first upgrade and it turned red on me. At first I thought that meant deactivated, but then I was teleporting around the screen and unable to hit the enemy at all. It's resulted in me not using any upgrades because I don't know what they do.
I like the art and the idea, but I'd like to see more to it. As the game is right now there's only one small gameplay loop. You shoot enemies or click to make gold then use that gold to buy gold generators. You use those gold generators to deal damage. With so few things to do it just feels like a grind to get to the stronger enemies.
Things I would like to see:
-More things that the gold generators do. At first I thought they were going to help me fight and I was a little disappointed that it didn't happen.
-An easy way to determine if my DPS can keep up with the auto-generated enemies
-A way to speed up enemy generation. Waiting 5 seconds between enemies and having to kill 50 for the first upgrade just isn't fun.
I hope I get to see the game improve!
I think that this is a good game and with a few small changes it could be made even better. The beginning of the game helps to teach the progress loop. Once you reach Ring 60 the game speeds up by clicking on Buy Page 1. It was enough to quickly get my to Ring 100 where I unlocked the next set of upgrades. I like the upgrades and the visuals a lot.
I think one improvement would be a way to automate the [Z] boost. Maybe it could get its own upgrade so that it's done automatically every 60 seconds and it can be upgraded slowly down to every 10 seconds or so.
Keep up the good work! I'm really enjoying the game!
This game could definitely use a few more upgrades. Possibly something like: Once you get a building of a certain size you can prestige and get extra points. Those points can be used to decrease the wait for a new card, increase the starting level of some cards, or add new cards.
For anybody still unfamiliar with scientific notation, Khan Academy has a video explaining it. https://www.khanacademy.org/math/pre-algebra/pre-algebra-exponents-radicals/pre-algebra-scientific-notation/v/scientific-notation-old
The short explanation is that it is easier to write large numbers using scientific notation. Below are a couple of examples.
100 = 1e+2
1,000,000,000 = 1e+9
120,400 = 1.204e+5
