Still an awesome game. Phoenix is way too powerful (100% winrate just by stalling till 10 fire mana using meditation, then using Phoenix's as an invincible wall. Necromancer 7 mana nuke helps)
Lol, just beat the final mission, and I gathered minerals so fast that by the 12 minutes remaining mark (so 8 minutes in) I had gathered all the minerals on the map. I then just recycled all my outlining stuff (I hadnt upgraded any of it) and condensed into a ball of ultimate defense before fastforwarding to the end. Fun game
@Tandu another amusing Mainport abuse is that the upgrade to Docks 2 doesn't just apply to ITS port, but any port touching it. So if you build it right, you can get 2 port 2's pretty easily, and theoretically 3 just from one main port
Wish the game could be optimized a bit. I understand Flash has its limitations, but its still frustrating when you can't have more than like 30 trucks without 1 frame a minute
One of the most hilarious parts for me about this game is the after round graphs. I can almost ALWAYS pin point where I built my first mortar because that is where creeper coverage suddenly spikes down and my creeper killed spikes up.
That moment at the end of the level when, for whatever reason, you have a good 50 strafers swarming over the last remaining emitter and you can no longer see.
I remember grinding and grinding to get the Hard badge...
Then today I turned it on and accidentally beat it in 3 days on the first try through pure luck
I personally am a big fan of the mouse only (no auto-aim) mechanic. It gives the game a very "room clearing" sort of feeling, where you come upon groups of zombies which then chase after you and you have to take them out in a panic. So I hope this always stays in the game.
As for the boss... its fun, and I think the game could use one, but I'm not too certain about the implementation. Its a little too easy to just focus fire the boss. Maybe if there were already a small contingent of zombies out before the match started.
Pretty positive that after you win the game, an alien invasion happens. I mean, back in 1870 bc, who else could just wipe a 1 million soldier army off the map? 1 Million was impressive in 500 bc.
Now, I've beaten the game the normal way, but I wanted to see what would happen if you managed to win that first fight against the poison guy. Except, for whatever reason, this developer stores his values in the most ridiculous way possible. I think he stores them on the bit level instead of as ints O.o
Awesome game, the protection could be a little more clearly worded though. Like, I'm still not certain if it blocks one damage per level, or has some sort of cool down.
So... turns out the Random Number Generator isn't totally random. Or rather, some turns are luckier than others. I had a turn where everything went "perfectly." All gifts were extra +1 relations, all cultural exchanges gave +1 scouts, all scouts found troops, all conquests gave war heroes. Suffice it to say, I got a total of 9 scouts that turn, gained 6 techs, and conquered 4 different nations. Woot woot?
There is a bug with the final "mission". If you conquer an ally, it counts double. I.E, you DON'T have to take care of the last dude. This is convenient if the last city has a large army. This also means that you only have to conquer half the people if you are playing as sparta, or a little over, if you just ally and then conquer your allies.
