You need the volume settings to carry through the cutscenes. I multitask, so the volume of my flash games is usually at zero, but it shoots right back up during the cutscenes.
I inadvertantly found a way to keep the game going indefinitely. 20 minutes into survival mode I realized how little I was enjoying myself. It's a decent concept, but there's very little substance here. 3/5.
I found this to be quite easy, and fairly boring. I finished everything there was to do in about an hour, and I only died once. Rather disappointing, really. 2/5.
This game is sort of a joke. Put aside the fact that it is ridiculously easy (I don't think I've been less than 75% health at any point, and I'm barely trying... the boss couldn't even land a hit), there's very little fun to be had here. The grind of this game is fruitless. othing feels rewarding. 1/5
This was terribly un-fun. The menial interactivity during hte minigames becomes a chore rather than a game, and the races are all stats, which makes the core element of this game monotony. I did like some of the mini-games, so 2/5.
This is sort of like a watered-down the Monster Rancher games. I think the main difference (other than licensing, of couse) is that there's no penalty or time limit for the training in this game. I can theoretically train to max stats without ever participating in a tournament, and years will pass without anyone noticing. I like the idea of having all the time in the world, but there's no sense of urgency. This game is far too easy. I was entertained, however, so 3/5.
I'l be honest -- this game isn't terribly fun. It's another in a long line of vaguely interest-piquing games to be sure, and pique it has, but I feel that any significant loss on my end would cause my attention to drift. Give it a try, if you want, but don't hold your breath. This is no revolution. 3/5.
This game has a truly innovative control scheme, a good amount of strategic combat, and a great fun factor. I enjoyed it thoroughly (though I can't say the same for the FB game). 5/5!
The sound comes back on when the game loses focus. This is rather annoying. Couple that with a fairly standard puzzle game, and I can't really give this more than a 2/5. Sorry.
The gameplay's pretty standard fare -- not a whole lot of surprise can be thrown into difference games. The art and music, however, are phenomenal. I really like the style and feel of this game, and appreciate that how the rooms change. Mind you, I've not read the book, so I'm not sure how accurate the style is to its source material, but I enjoyed this. 4/5.
This game has an interesting idea behind it, but the execution is rather weak. There should be a much larger number of unit types to choose from, and the fact that there are only 4 types of enemies that can attack on any given wave doesn't make strategizing an overly important part of winning at this game. Add this to the fact that the hotkeys seem to be unresponsive 90% of the time, and I can't justify any more than a 2/5 for this game. Were it not for the card I probably would not have returned to this one after my initial foray a few days after launch. Keep trying.
