as mentioned Lieutenant Stardast is a quite unsocial person. I ask him to train a bit harder and he felt extremely offended and stopped training at all. So after bringing him some sugar cakes and chokolade milk he excepted my appologies and went back to normal training. Sincerely Corporal Tutnix

at first your comment made me nervous. So I uploaded your data to my system and checked it. At first, I’m impressed how well you punished … err … motivated your scientists. They indeed research very fast.

So I went on to check if they do the right thing … and it seems they do. They update you weapon once it is BETTER than the old one. But they are researching so fast. But you can check in the (un)important window at the bottom left. It should state “Your scientists created a new weapon”.

All MY systems are green and the scientists do their job as expected. So please check if you find this little info. If so everything is fine.

Lecturing on your Commander borders insubordination, Corporal. However I went through several hundred lines of unimportant messages and after that I reloaded the page. Still no new weapon. I even wasted some slaves on a “Upgrade Base Weapon Power” even though it’s so inefficient as upgrades go. After that still no new weapon. And my slaves/sec -ratio remains the same, up to the 3rd decimal. In other words, my lazy scientists are doing it wrong, selling everything instead of keeping the good stuff.

Okay. Now it works again. Previously the line “Your scientists created a new weapon” did NOT appear and the killing and enslaving numbers didn’t improve. Not when I upgraded base weapon power or idle power, not when I sent scientists to permanently improve weapon quality. Now it works and these actions will result in a new weapon being created.

This happened to me once (or twice?) on an older computer with a bad internet connection. I found out that sometimes the computer doesn’t load properly and I needed to reload. This sounds very similar to what is happening to you.

Two different / independent things I encountered:
1) Very slow hard disk
2) Slow internet connection

In both case I needed to wait a while (~20 seconds) till connections (Kong and Clout) were established and the computer was loading the local data. Sorry that I can’t tell you more. So my advise is to wait some seconds. I check if it could be a bug, but found nothing.
