I don't understand the 2 layers of finishing toppings. I can never get 100% if they ask for cherry on top of a cherry, does anyone know what we're supposed to do with these?
My strategy: 12-14 Gold Mines, 1 Repairs, couple of Crystal and Iron Mines. Bag of Crystals to speed it up if you're stuck. Fill the rest with high-cost guys (with most not requiring souls). Spend the first few minutes taking portal damage and cycling through your deck for all the Mines and load up 5 guys in the top left, then once you're getting 24+/second save up a bunch (~$500) and send out all the slots. Get Repairs to get your portal back to 100%, then keep sending waves until their portal's dead.
Each plane has a maximum speed, so don't just hold down space. Tap it every so often and keep an eye on Velocity (top right) to get max use from the fuel. Hold left to get max height+distance
The controls are way too buggy. Scrolling is basically useless because it scrolls the screen, and the buttons don't work sometimes (tried pressing shield on the boss battle, but it wouldn't work when I needed it). Also the first boss deals damage before he even starts his attack!
The whole game's basically circling to flank, you should never attack planes head on. You have to attack the balloons/blimps head on, but that's a different story. Every mission can be beat with 4 stars, some take longer as you have more enemies to dodge at the same time.
for 1948, just have the bottom plane circle down and back, top plane circle up and back. The top plane gets chased by the fast and slow airplanes, bottom plane only by one airplane. Use boost every other turn and you'll be safe out of distance even though they make smaller turns to catch up. Once safely behind the Bombino, the bottom plane can take on the single guy (you have 180), then it can circle around and flank the two planes chasing the top guy, which in the meantime can use smoke. Then the Bombino's easy, just flank and take smallest allowed distances to keep distance and fire.
The Behemoth is just like the Balloons, very powerful guns, but smaller range than your planes. Just use the 180deg turns and circles to fire and retreat outside of their range.
