Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but...
you're part of a RESEARCH team on a planet in a SEPARATE UNIVERSE
with a budget of... $150?!
also, you need money to buy stuff in A SEPARATE UNIVERSE???
just saying...
I had a Ridiculously Hard early (1st galaxy!) battle, so I made an army of Tier III ships, 3 Hypernoval II bombs and 3 Hypernoval I bombs specifically for it.
After the battle, my (new) ships went straight from level 1 to level 12, almost level 13.
Wow.
The Uber Class special move can be used to constantly shield itself and another ship. A healer can heal any group damage taken, making this setup practically impregnable, especially if there is a second set with the defense specialization.
This should be fixed.
(part 2:) more strategic (and more interesting) fights (plus I would like to be able to have every class involved in one of my fights :) ). If this were to be implemented, the max enemies on screen should also increase at that point to even things out.
finally, suggestion 3: more enemy types. This would, again, lead to more interesting fights, and introduce more variety into the game. However, it 'may' also cause the A.I.s to become more complex, which might drag this idea down, unless you have someone good at 'planning', for lack of a better term. If I was unclear about anything (I wouldn't be surprised if I was!), or presented only a vague idea, just mention it and I will elaborate/clarify.
(part 1:) Suggestion: you should, for some/a lot of money (or energy), be able to TRANSFER experience from one ship to another, including weapon stats. To clarify, one ship's exp would go down, the other's up. Of course, if the late game is built on this NOT being there, you may need to buff later enemies
Otherwise, (note that this is a little exaggerated) one may build the highest-tier ship, and then discover their earlier ship is stronger by virtue of it's experience, or, their favorite attack is weak on their new ship.
I also agree with the fairly standard view that there should be some sort of arena.
Suggestion two: their should be a way to expand army size in the late game, maybe after earth (with more story, perhaps), so we could have
