I wanted to rate this game 5-stars, but I'm currently experiencing a problem where (regardless of the level), my game is constantly freezing up. At some times it's fine, but especially on Level 6 (night mode), the game tends to slow to a crawl in the very late stages and freezes up regardless of whether or not I use the 'fast mode' option. Is there a way to reduce the game quality or reduce its graphics, as a potential 'fix' to less-than optimal computers? A fun game, but this issue is annoying. :(
A fantastic game all-around; with its minimalist approach, cute graphics, and fun items (I've managed to get ALL 'Soul' cyan items, giving me a +102 magic proc rate O.o), I've given this game a 5/5 and put it on my favorites list. I'll get back to you in regards to some critiques I had (or perhaps I'll post a guide in regards to naming conventions for items, from what I've seen so far), once I hit level 100. P.S. - I know it was a bit lucky/unfair for me to take advantage of the 'EVERYMONSTERDROPSCYANITEMSBUG' issue, but kintogames, I wish I had the patience and skill to create something that has made me so addicted to hear a simple 'ding' sound and purple bolts/fireballs/charges flashing in every direction. <3 :D
5/5, but I have a huge problem with the "Level 4" stages; the rain graphics/sound effects (although lovely) tend to slow down my computer more than I want it to, which made those sections harder to complete compared to the others. I wish there was a way to 'toggle off' the rain (even though it's beautifully atmospheric) or somehow adjust the graphics so that the rain doesn't become hindering. Wonderful game nonetheless. <=)
Wow... I loved Continuity for its mechanics and fun puzzle solving, but when put under pressure with the scope of time running in the background, it really becomes challenging if you're not focusing on what you're doing. Although it's short, I think the music, story, and overall atmosphere really pulled me into it. 5/5! ^_^ (Can I download the music somehow? XD)
Definitely at least a 5/5 from me, based on the general format of the game. The puzzles can be extremely intense/complex, but the design aspects (sound, graphics, 'tutorial', etc.) are so simple from a visual standpoint that it really refreshes the mind. I finished the game within an half-an-hour, but it really takes a new level of abstraction in order to solve everything. Well done! ^_^
Simple and relatively clean concept, even though I don't like being chased by something I can't destroy. That said, the whole 'infinite dream that will last until death = inception reference' is awesome, and the only minor nitpick is that the 'shaking' effect can be a bit distracting on the eyes for the gamer. Good job though. :)
While the game is fun, numbers 68 (that symbol exists? O_o) and 94 had me in for a loop, because I never saw those symbols my entire life. =\ Oh well, fantastic game, 5/5 for me, and kudos for forcing people to use the '1-D' side of their brain to do these types of crazy puzzles. :) <3
Very innovative, and one of the most intriguing side-scrolling puzzles (a 2-D version of Portal but with a different take) that I've played ever. Superb! =D
Role model? =( I don't even know the guy...
If you're still having problems, I'm sure there should be a way to fix it though. I just don't know how to help.
On an another note, this game is BEYOND AMAZING. My favorite words so far are 'xylophones', 'oxygen' and 'juxtaposition' (major points if you have the good letter combinations). For once, creative intellect and a large vocabulary are involved in a word game rather than quick scrambling skills! =) 5/5
For those who aren't able to type ANYTHING when the bugs are coming to steal your 'secrets', try clicking inside the game window and typing again. If it doesn't work, something is either wrong with your computer that is preventing you from playing your game, or you're not following the instructions on the first level/boiler room. There should be a 'help' button near the bottom right area of the "Boiler Room" ripoff100.
...this game so... odd.
Fairly decent puzzles, kind of reminds me as a combination of the SHIFT series (different dimensions) and Portal (creepy person trying to "help" you). Good game, I suppose.
Fun, simple, and fairly complex. I'm just surprised this game didn't have some crazy things (rotating platforms, angled walls, etc.) to REALLY make this game challenging (not that it wasn't, lol). Amazing game.
Level 20 made me wonder if all of the drivers under the influence of alcohol. >.< Some of those people need to learn how to signal or... something. =|
Okay game I guess.
I know there was probably a guide somewhere, but I managed to complete all 30 levels. Really liked this game - challenging and refreshing for the mind. ^_^
The trick is to have all floors (near the endgame) to have at least two lasers and one rocket launcher. Upgrade accordingly, and you could just leave the computer and let the automated weapons deal with the mobs. Otherwise, the game is somewhat tedious (although the elevator noises/general music are nice touches).
