There seems to be a bit of a lag problem, especially after using the free tick speed boost. My CPU is only utilized by about 10%, and it lags like crazy.
Like Jure said, it's unplayable. There is barely any control of the units, and the AI is not very intelligent, there isn't much info on units or buildings, there is no zoom or minimap, there is no immediate indication of enemy and foe, etc. This is very far from being at the level of something like C&C or Starcraft.
Also, just to add, there is no tutorial on controls or gameplay, the camera zoom lock is inconvenient, there's no mini-map, there isn't many options for buildings and units, you are very restricted in base building, there isn't anything telling you what stats your base has, etc.
Like hav9k said, that game is extremely incomplete.
Sooooo, you just make some buildings (which are put randomly in a predetermined area and have a cap to how many you can build) and soldiers to fight AI soldiers, that's it.
A good addition to the game would be a copy and past tool. If you are doing large designs, then it gets tiresome to do the same thing over and over.
Also, some live real time multiplayer would be nice.
There's been some serious lag going on, but from my perspective it's like it's the servers or maybe my internet (but if it was my internet I think I would get disconnected), because the game runs fine, but when I'm playing all the other people I'm playing with stop moving, and the zombies still come after me, and I'm still able to kill them. I'm not quite sure what is going on.
Just had a problem with is "saving" after I raided someone, and it didn't give me anything, and I still have to wait for my people to come back for 1 1/2 hours. >:(
Here's an idea, make it so when people join a quick match, if they leave, it takes away XP and money as a penalty, because it's extremely annoying when you are trying to play, and then people leave and you're all alone left to die.
Oh, and another thing I forgot to add, if you handled this like a free-to-play game (not pay to win), you could make quite a bit of money if you improved the game.
This game can be a VERY good flash game if it had a lot of content. The gameplay is already very good. Also, another thing that I would like to see added, is floors in the buildings, and more other objects such as barricades, barbed wire, mortar holes/fox holes, etc.
Okay, I found out what it was. Not the water part, but why I couldn't build any more buildings. It was because you have to build a mission control first, because you'll run out of money, but then I ran into the problem of running out of oxygen, because I can't build a electrolysis station fast enough.
I just realized that some of the instructions were getting cut off but they were just fine when I was testing the game in the debugger. Sorry about that, I'll try to implement a quick small fix soon.
The trick to level 2 is that at the end it tells you to sell the power station but I see that part of the text got cut off.
For some odd reason, it would make me run out of water right when I would start the second mission, or it won't let me build or upgrade anymore buildings after just a few.
Level 2 does start with the water level low, but it might disappear completely through one of the random-disasters that I need to make more apparent. Also you experienced the same issue, some of the text got cut off in level 2, you have to sell the power station to complete it.
Ha ha, that's the point.
