" Where should we build our city, milord?" " Why, in the middle of a country, surrounded on all sides by undead, goblins, demons, ogres, trolls, evil wizards, and barbarians, of course!"
I made a rather lucky shot right into the fan club surrounding bieber. I had the Penetrate People perk, so it infected ALL of them, save the subject of their attentions. Immidiately, they turned on him and devoured him within the first 5 seconds of the level. Go figure, just making metaphor literal.
@Tiruin, most games do this because most game designers are still stuck in the "Nearly all gamers are guys" mindset, and still appeal to that particular audience, rather than gender realism or appealing to women. And it holds a small amount of truth, as males still hold the majority as an audience in the gaming industry. It's been some decades since the first outstanding female character that didn't seem like a sex object or plot device that would be killed off in the first 10 minutes of the game, so companies are still phasing over. Don't expect to see modest heroines in this particular genre for a while. Good examples are Caesary, Rome, or Tyon(?), for what I mean in appealing to males.
I admit, TKL is definitely one of the better games out there on the web that I've played. Definitely among the top 5, it isn't often that I find replay value in an online game. I love it.
Its disappointing that almost every FreetoPlay MMO I come across, you can't buy anything good in the markets, because they all cost currency you have to buy with real money. It gets kinda old, when you have to grind for half an hour to find that one powerful staff some guy with too much time on his hands can get the moment he logs onto the game because he's free with his credit card.
2 useful tips: Don't lose the Ankh you may or may not start with. You will need it, for when(not if) you run out of potions. Second: Circle around mummies, they fire where you are at, not where you will be. Circle and slash.
Two of the most useful items you may come across, if you fancy yourself a spellslinger in this game, will be the Kopesh of the Ancient Lord, and Armor of the Midnight Ash. Together, they give you a +3 MP Regen per second, which has saved me huge amounts of frustration against the mummies and sarcophagi/magic spewing coffins, considering I kinda spam the Astral Disruption spell, which is MP taxing a 125 per shot. armor is Weaker than mythril, it's about as tough as steel plate, without the armor bonus, and the sword is about as strong as an adamantine blade, but has a +6 ATT and +2 MP Regen enchantments.
I'm quite sure this is really about some man whacked out on really strong drugs. I'm quite sure he's actually in front of a convenience store somewhere screaming "TURTLES! TURTLES EVERYWHERE! GRAUGH!"
