An above average management game (given that it's free, that's excellent). It avoids the main pitfall that most games of this type suffer from, which is forcing you into one specific tactic that you have to enforce in a small window near the start of a level if you want to achieve the highest rank (and having to end up using trial and error to figure out what the correct method is). You can still easily doom yourself in the first 30 seconds of a level, but there are numerous paths which you can take that will lead to the gold medal.
It's a fun time for a few hours and you don't even need to get all of the currency from the in game achievements or upgrades to clear the game 24/24 gold medals.
Plus it's one of the few games on Kartridge which is free and has badges, so that alone is worth your time.
MarshMellowh, I saved, exited to the main menu, refreshed the page and everything was gone. And then the game extolled to me the virtues of making a NK account so I could save my game.
Sorry, I'm not going to create an account on NinjaKiwi just so my progress doesn't reset every time I reload the game. It'd be almost fine if ranks were meaningless, but I'm not going to start completely from scratch every time I load the game.
It should be saving your profile, you don't need an NK account (that should change soon). Progress may not be saved if the game is disconnected so keep an eye on the connection icon.
I'm disappointed that there is no Condor (-4) or Hole-In-One icon. It's certainly possible to get a hole-in-one on Green of Death (Par 5). Took the lift, extra power, dead stop power ups, and had a trailing wind of 8 mph. Took me a few tries, but I did it... only to be greeted with another Albatross icon. Somehow I doubt that it's possible, but I'm going to give the Par 6 a shot now at getting a Hole-In-One.
Thank you for allowing us to listen to the clips even after correctly guessing the game. That's always been my biggest gripe about old console sound clip guessing games.
It'd be nice if there was a bonus for finishing in fewer shots than necessary for gold. It would add a bit more playability to the game and it would promote a bit more min/maxing on each level.
I didn't realize what the re-assign control buttons was doing until I mapped most of the controls (including suicide) to one button. Time to go delete the .sol file so I can restart.
Darn, I was hoping that eliminated all enemies (and spawns) on the last level in under 20 turns would yield something different. Instead I just had to hit the end turn button two more times. Still, it was fun to do that as a personal challenge.
Well I'm an idiot, I never saw the option to turn on the color coding for the squares. So good job leaving in the ability to see how the density of zombies around you.
Nice to see you've taken all of the feedback from the first game and applied it to the sequel to make it more fun and less frustrating.
The only thing I wish you had left in was the red tint on zombie territories that allowed you to see the more infested ones at a glance instead of having to click on each one individually.
It's nice to see that the rating on this game is plummeting after how short each of these games are. I'd be more impressed if each one was about 3 times as long. As in the usual length of a game.
Holy crap professional league is a lot harder than the standard league. Also, it might be nice if you added a way to go back and do standard races after unlocking the professional leagues, since the apex corners are damn near impossible to do on professional leagues.
So, at the end did anyone else expect to see "Hello" show up after "You will become a world." I think the dev missed a great opportunity by not doing that.
