Let's not forget that this game is more than 12 years old. Flash game standards were a bit different back then. Yet I must admit that I'm glad I've collected both badges a very long time ago and that I don't need to re-play this game again.
Receiving only 1 Ragnarok Point from a Diamond Mystery Box is beyond ridiculous - especially when lesser boxes have a chance to give you significantly more RP than that... *looks at the changelog* ... wait a second, wasn't this issue supposed to be already fixed?!
Well done, even if this installment came later than I personally anticipated. Although... I'm a bit puzzled about the decision to rename this mini-series from "Medieval Shorts" to "Medieval Angel".
While playing in Chrome, I'm constantly receiving pop-up messages about this page not responding - but everything here works just fine, including the game itself. However, if these false warnings won't stop showing up, I'll simply stop playing this idle thing.
All enemies in Survival have 2x their original health. As such, no player can get far in Survival and it really doesn't matter how many upgrades (s)he researched. That's far from being fun. --- Replaying any level previously done with 3 stars results in lower chance that enemies will drop gold coins. Since these coins are changed for pink diamonds after victory, you are currently forced to waste much time grinding easier levels. It's as if reducing the Bonus amount of diamonds for victory wasn't enough.
It seems to me that the player's mightiest enemy aren't the zombies, the military or Diane's shotgun, but some kind of memory leak that will soon begin to cause some mighty lags. That's what makes Hardcore mode and any challenge mode really... hardcore.
Speed Up buttons are a welcome sight in any TD game, but linking them to the VIP system is one of the worst ideas you could have, dear Shinezone. You're expecting that more people will invest Kreds into this game, but I think these VIP Speed Up buttons may actually insult many players, convincing them that The King of Towers isn't worth their time (and their money, for that matter).
One has to spend 100000 diamonds to reach VIP level 9. Considering the current value of diamonds, this means the player has to pay around 77000 kreds - even if (s)he always utilizes the best offers! Seems like Greed and Insanity met together.
The King of Towers, when compared with KR, offers no major differences in basic gameplay and changing the upgrade system along with the art style is not enough to differentiate it. What's worse, the developers proceeded to monetize practically every option you have - if you want to do something specific more often, you have to spend diamonds, which are mostly available for kreds only. There are even more flaws - somewhat limited energy, Engrish, no auto-collection of bags dropped by Treasure Hunters and the fact that the developers probably ignored the performance limitations of Flash, resulting in the game's sluggishness. Finally, your progress will slow down even more around the time when you reach kingdom level 12, so most of the time you will have to collect taxes and wait for a chance to upgrade at least something if you want to have any chance to make a significant progress in the main campaign. There is a lot of wasted potential, so I can't give this game more than 3 stars.
Now that I've got the Summon Magma spell, keii, I noticed the same thing. It seems it's damage value represents the total amount of damage this spell deals for its entire duration. If it really did that damage every second, it would be many times stronger than the Rain of Fire. Therefore, the current description of Summon Magma is incorrect and should be fixed so it won't be confusing anymore.
Is it alright to lose a captured enemy when you go into a tower and defend a quarter against enemy attack? No one is helping you in such case, so it's strange if your Olog (or whoever else you manage to capture) suddenly dies at the start of this kind of mission.
HyperShadow, obviously you aren't trading your resources in tavern. I suggest selling surplus energy and then buying some ore for earned credits. That may help you a lot ;).
Simple, but addictive and fun... and without too serious errors :). It just needs more content. There's really not much I can say about this little game, aside from... "Somebody stop me!" :)
Well, I must say that the intro is captivating, but the rest of the story somewhat disappointed me... I expected it to be a bit richer. All enemies are technically the same, only their levels and armor types are making a difference. The game consumes more and more memory over time, which inevitably forces the player to refresh this page after a while. And the player needs good luck to get right combination in the grid, which makes getting the gold trophies in some battles very hard and frustrating. On the other hand, the game has interesting graphics and music, and its unpredictability somehow makes it interesting even more. It's not my favorite, but I still like it ;).
Good Flash RTS, but barely reminds me of Necronator 1... Like some other players, I must complain about the AI. Sometimes my troops just ignore imminent peril and they're attacking a house while being killed one after another by a nearby-standing guard tower. Frost Island level is (in)famous example of this. I expected that in situations such as this my troops will temporarily ignore the house on their own, but it looks like I must order them directly to attack that tower. Otherwise they'll keep splitting their numbers... and keep losing...
Hey, jaxten5000, you should read Draxifiel's comment above. You'll see what skill you need to defeat Herregods ;). And I don't think there are extremely hard enemies... you should try Sonny 2, you'll find A LOT of very nasty foes in it ;). Then you can complain.
