I frankly didn't like the aiming system at all, too much variance, and my bullets kept landing outside the aiming circle, it was too much of a crap shooter.
Started game, clicked on the watchtower. Could not figure out how to leave watchtower. No instructions, control help, or obvious clickable. Attacked instead of moved. If I could rate 0 of 5 I would.
I am not overly impressed. I had quite a few problems with jumping, gliding, and landing. the collision seemed off, and a separate button for the glide would have been nice. Never got around to seeing what the down arrow did... There are far, far better executions of this genre to be forced to play a horrible one in order to get a badge of the day.
I am not impressed with the physics in this game. There is no indication of what stress might happen where. I keep building structurally sound designs, only to have it break randomly. I tested this several times on lvl 2, and half the time, my bridge held, the other half it didn't. That's poor game design.
Overall it's a smashing concept! I have to agree with Oficinaman and Alaton, there are quite a few bugs to work out. I am going to join the bandwagon and say the animations need to either sped up or an option made to turn them off. All in all a solid game!
It's a fun game, but you need to either fix speed, or make it so the frame is not out-pacing the character. That is what seems to be causing the most issues for me.
The speed of the character is based on how far away the cursor is from him. This is fine, but with the severe problem with the ,eve, progressing faster than my character, it makes it impossible to control your speed.
I highly recommend keeping the character centered at all times, or completely reworking the speed mechanic.
Mind you, I loved the game, it's just that I want to max everything out, but I can't. I simply can't afford to buy what amounts to suicide.
Well, It *could* be a good game with some refinements. I am a huge fan of this particular genre, so here's a bit of input...
Darken the colors of things we need to see. I had a hard time finding the play button at the beginning, and it took me awhile to figure out that there was a timer. Those sort of things need to stand out.
I know you are going for humor, but you may want to clean up the dialog. It seems a bit broken, and can be hard to follow through.
The big thing is there is an inconsistent fire rate. Sometimes the starter gun would shoot slower, sometimes it would shoot faster. There was no constant speed. It seemed as if there was a cooldown timer between shots, and if I clicked too fast, I would miss it and reduce my fire-rate.
All and all it has some good potential. I might come try it out again if you refine it more! Good Luck!
Thank you so much!
