Never mind, turns out that .-.-. is ambiguous between the prosign and the character +. I thought I could just ignore the and solved the given formula on its own.
I really enjoy this game. But I do hope campaigns for the other three deck types are added soon. It gets a bit repetitive to be using approximately the same strategy on all the campaign missions. It would've been nice to alternate them.
It seems like the winning side of a battle doesn't lose any units. This means a big group is completely immune to smaller groups, meaning the best way to win is to always have all your units in one group and chase down the slightly smaller enemy group. Using the percentage bar on hard mode seems to be suicide so far. It's not even advantageous to split up when getting planets at the start, since a big group will win the planet twice as fast (meaning you get one of the planets earlier, while the second one takes the same time).
Addition to my earlier comment, I've nudged the rating back up to 2/5 because the game isn't entirely terrible. The graphics, animation and concept are great, and I'm past my level 24 frustration. But I really can't make it more than 2/5 since the mechanics, puzzles and controls are just poorly designed. And ultimately, those are the things that matter the most.
At first I thought I'd end up rating it 5/5. Then taking the limbs off was annoyingly slow and reduced my opinion to 4/5. Then the rules of the cannons seemed to keep changing and the puzzle design only emphasized that more and more, so I reduced it to 3/5. Then I died a bunch of times because he wouldn't jump and it became 2/5. Then level 24 happened and I'm getting so annoyed that it's 1/5 now. This game is lost potential.
Haha wow, this last attempt on level 19 I didn't even get enough cars. There was one car left on the road when the time ran out and I was 6 cars short.
Having a survivor as a personal reload assistant in stead of as a gunner really emphasizes how pathetic these guys are in combat. At least that explains why all of them keep dying if I send them out to look for other useless survivors.
If you want to grind easily, put this game in a separate browser window, do a level for only minions and press alt+tab IMMEDIATELY after pressing Start. It normally auto-pauses, but if you switch while the menu animates away the pause doesn't trigger. If you miss the timing, just try it again when you press Resume. I just wish the sound of the game wasn't so loud, I can't hear the documentary I'm watching unless I mute everything.
